Poli Frazi Ceramix / overview

Poli Frazi is a French visual artist who has been based in Chania, Crete, since 2014. During her time on the island, she discovered her love for ceramics, which she pursued alongside her passion for painting, illustrating, and handmade printing. Her unique style draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the Mediterranean, as well as myths, femininity, gender identity, love, and vibrant colors. She develops as a solo artist and also through the artistic “Psaromato” duo.

Through her work, Frazi tells captivating stories with spontaneous brushstrokes, symbols, and calligraphic movements. Her ceramic pieces are adorned with natural oxides that, when fired at high temperatures, create infinite tonal variations and depth, providing a stunning contrast with the color of the ceramic itself. Frazi’s work is not only visually striking but also imbued with her passion and creativity, making each piece a true work of art that is sure to captivate and inspire.
