Turning bio-invasive plants into the art installtion
"The Lane of Light," is an exhibition that tries to portray the transformative ability of creativity and sustainability. Turning a challenge into an opportunity. The invasion can turn into one with humans; threats can become beauty and harmony. Handmade pressed papers integrated with invasive plants and recycled papers, become a series of lanterns that redefine our relationship with invasive species.
The concept behind "The Lane of Light" reflects the effort to approach and handle the invasive species that are often seen as threats to ecosystems. Rather than viewing these plants as enemies, this exhibition utilizes these plants as materials for artistry. As visitors walk through the alley of lanterns, they are invited to an interactive experience that reflects the embracement of the natural world with human craftsmanship.
