PPAC’S 2019/2020 GREETER PROGRAM BEGINS! The Providence Performing Arts Center welcomes a new group of high school Greeters shown here at their orientation session with program manager Betty Benedetti (front row, far right)! The Greeters welcome and assist patrons at the Taco/White Family Foundation Broadway Series shows throughout the Season. Photo: Paul Hiatt

Tickets: $98 - $43

COME FROM AWAY tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships. On September 11, 2001 the world stopped. On September 12, their stories moved us all.

Following sold-out, record-breaking, critically-acclaimed world premiere engagements at La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle Repertory Theatre, COME FROM AWAY landed on the "Best Theater of 2015" lists in the Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times, San Diego Union Tribune, and Times of San Diego. Charles McNulty of the Los Angeles Times called the show "An affecting, stirring, and unpretentious new musical. Christopher Ashley's production lets the simple goodness of ordinary people outshine sensational evil," and Bob Verini of Variety raved, "Superb! Canadians Irene Sankoff and David Hein have forged a moving, thoroughly entertaining tribute to international amity and the indomitable human spirit."

DEAR EVAN HANSEN TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW! May 26 – 31, 2020 Winner of 6 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the 2018 Grammy Award, DEAR EVAN HANSEN is the deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical about life and the way we live it. The Washington Post calls DEAR EVAN HANSEN “one of the most remarkable shows in musical theater history.” DEAR EVAN HANSEN has broken all box office records since its opening at the Music Box Theatre in 2016, and has resonated with audiences and critics alike, including New York Times critic Jesse Green, who, in his May 2019 re-review of the show, declared it “more and more ingenious with each viewing. It is more hopeful than ever.” PART OF THE
