EyeCarePro FAQs Q: I don’t have a website, do I need to have an EyeCarePro (ECP) Website to be part of the program?

A: Yes, the whole program and service offering revolves around you having an ECP website.

Q: I have an existing site can I be a part of ECP? A: No unfortunately, you must have a ECP website to be part of the program.

Q: How long do I need to allocate creating the site?

A: You initially need to spend 4-6 hours to complete a ‘Welcome Wizard’. Then once you have received a draft of the site spend another 4-6 hours and provide feedback and changes. ProVision will also go over your site and provide feedback. The aim will be to launch the site as soon as possible to assist with Google indexing and rankings, so making sure the key pages are correct is the priority. Updates to deeper interior pages can be done at any time once the site is up and running.

Q: Why should I be part of the ECP program?

A: ECP create websites that are designed to turn web browsers into customers. They do this my ensuring Google will prioritise the site in search: •

They design for Mobile 1st and quick web load time.

Pages contain small numbers of images to reduce load time.

•

They place large amounts of searchable text on multiple pages to capture as much relevant search traffic as possible.

•

They have an online dashboard where you can see all your digital results in real time.

•

If you aren’t visible in search – SEO and Google Search ads strategies can be implemented to bring in more customers.

Please keep in mind a lot of web designers do not know how to do this.

Q: Do I need to provide my own content?

A: No, ECP have all the content already created the only content you need to complete is Optometrist and Staff profiles. If you have current photography, then this will ideally be incorporated into your site.

Q: How do they create my website?

A: When you sign up you will need to allocate 4-6 hours to complete a ‘Welcome Wizard’. This will gather all the information for your practice. Including staff profiles, brands you stock, and services you provide etc. You will also be presented with some website templates so you can select a style that you would like for your site.

Q: How long do I need to run an ECP website to gain results?

A: The good news is you will instantly see results in appointments and only experience a 10% - 15% initial decrease in web traffic (this occurs typically when launching a new site with redirects from a previous site). It is important to note that to see results such as increased traffic or movement in Google rankings will require 6 months of continuity.

Q: What is the dashboard what does it do?

A: The ECP dashboard is a webpage where you can log in and view the results and trends from all your digital channels in one place. That being: • Google My Business • Facebook • Website o Appointments o Traffic o Time on page o Search results o Phone calls This can show long term trends on your digital channels that can be addressed Q: How do they track phone calls to my website?

A: ECP will implement a unique phone number (as similar to your land line as possible). This phone number will still come through to your phones, but the location and the time of the call can be tracked.

Q: How do and when do I pay my account?

A: Your fee will be placed on your ProVision account every month, starting from the commencement of the onboarding process and the issue of your Welcome Wizard to start completing. One we receive your completed Welcome Wizard, the website build will be completed within approximately 3 weeks.

Q: Who will host the website?

A: You will need to pay for and host the site, this is easy and cheap to set up and maintain. If you host your current web address, you should maintain your current hosting. All ECP need to do is point your domain www.example.com.au to the website they design. This takes two minutes to do when ready but needs to be done by someone who knows what they are doing. Don’t have web hosting? It is easy to purchase, and ProVision can help you do this.

Q: What guarantees will they provide that they will not interfere with material hosted on the same server?

A: Essentially as there is no contract, ECP want to keep you happy and maintain your subscription. Thus, there is nothing for them to gain by interfering with your email etc. They have done the same process with over 1,500 websites in North America and many ProVision practices in Australia with no problems.

Q: Who owns the website and what happens if I stop subscribing to EyeCarePro services?

A: ECP own the site, any content you create is yours to take back. Keep in mind that there is no contract.

Dependent on your package, most members will benefit from SEO support, being part of universal changes from Google, having a digital dashboard that gives you visibility on your digital performance, as well as access to campaigns and social media support bundled into their service.

Q: Do I need to be part of ProVision to access EyeCarePro services?

A: EyeCarePro works exclusively in partnership with ProVision in Australia, so support for this service is not available outside of ProVision membership. Should a practice with an EyeCarePro site cease their ProVision membership, we would provide a grace period of a few months to assist the practice to transition to a new website provider.

Q: Have ECP developed Australian specific language? For example, not using Doctor, Specialty in the sites?

A: All Australian sites have all Australian wording. You may see internal communications as in package names and places in the Welcome Wizard where we have not been able to make this change, but this change will be made in 2022.

Q: What is the difference between the packages?

A: The base package gives you a well-functioning website only. As the investment goes up, you are paying for extra SEO, marketing support, visibility, and interpretation of the results. It would be best to discuss your unique circumstances with ProVision before deciding the best fit.

Q: How does ECP integrate into the existing ProVision campaigns?

A: ECP is a website designed to capture more site traffic and online appointment program. Long term ECP and Provision will work hand in hand to host our campaigns on their platform.

Q: Where will patient data be stored?

Data will not be held by ECP, appointments should be booked using the phone or an online booking widget i.e.

(My Health First) thus ECP won’t see or hold patient data.

Q: Do I need to have online appointments to have an ECP website?

A: We would highly encourage you to use a MyHealth1st appointment widget (or equivalent) on whatever site you use moving forward. This means a patient is dealing with a live appointment and the patient data is pulling straight into your practice management system.

Q: If I want to go back to my old site after 12 months with ECP can I do that?

A: You would need to discuss this with your old web designer. If they don’t delete the site then you can go back to that site. However, you may have to pay for the running of two sites and this may be cost prohibitive.

Q: Can I access the back end of the ECP site and alter and change the information?

A: Yes, it is a WordPress site, so you have a login and can make changes and add content. However, you do have unlimited changes so ECP would prefer to look after updates so that from a formatting and SEO

perspective, the site is optimised. We can also set you up on an App called ‘GetSetPro’ which allows you and your staff to make simple changes to your site quickly without having to go into the backend of WordPress.

A: You can use your own content, however, the content from ECP is written in a way to capture search. It is important to note, sometimes content written from a practice perspective can be tech or jargon heavy and doesn’t contain terms that a regular person might use. But you can use your own content and it is yours to keep.
