N career and life, things have come full circle for Kerry and Nicholas Versteegen, the new owners of Myrtleford’s Heiner’s Bakery. They took over the bakery in March this year, but their background with the business goes back two decades. Both lifelong Myrtleford residents, Nicholas began there as an apprentice at age 16, while Kerry began working there
as a 15 year old, and after ďŹ rst meeting at the bakery, they have been married for many years. Mrs Versteegen said that they were excited to have taken over the bakery and aim to continue with the great products and friendly service that the bakery is known for. Heiner’s Bakery ďŹ rst opened its doors in 1966, and the Versteegens took over ownership of the bakery from previous

The bakery is active within the Myrtleford community, regularly assisting with local pie and lamington drive fundraisers. Heiner’s Bakery is open 4.30am-5pm seven days a week and is located at 87 Standish Street, Myrtleford.
