and what council had achieved in that time. “The past 12 months have been an incredibly active time for Strathbogie Shire Council and we’ve achieved some significant outcomes,” she said. “This mayoral term begun whilst still under COVID restrictions and
council has continued to provide community and business support in response to the pandemic. “I have witnessed both the Strathbogie Shire’s name and our projects be recognised and known well within the state and federal governments. “We were thrilled to recently learn that our advocacy to produce a feasibility study for Balmattum Hill mountain
bike track was funded by the State Government. “It is exciting to see the highly anticipated Nagambie Foreshore Walk started, which will provide greater pedestrian and cycle access between the regatta centre/ caravan park area and the township. “Equally, seeing the splash park take shape is a great development for the local community and visitors to Nagambie.
“We saw the completion of the new Rockies Bridge crossing, which has been appreciated by users of the Apex walking track. “We started works on our streetscape renewal across the shire with stage one completed in Avenel, Longwood and Euroa. “We’re looking forward to continuing to roll these projects out in Nagambie, Violet Town and Strathbogie. ■ Continued page 3

We Did It! So far we have raised almost $4,000. Thank you to our sponsors.
Lynne Ruscoe & Sarah Hill from Nutrien Ag Solutions Euroa both reached their walking distance Targets and would sincerely like to thank all of their generous sponsors for backing them and this worthy cause. Lynne walked in Albury with her family group son Mali, his wife Di and grandchildren. As Lynne said “For those that know me well, you’ll know how difficult this was for me, but it’s nothing compared to a cancer patients battle. We are so blessed to have state of the art treatment available in Albury, a much better option, in my humble opinion, than having to head into Melbourne.” Sarah completed the walk with her dog Zephyr and said on the day “Zephyr and I just completed 10 km for the Sunshine Walk, we walked around the lake in Benalla. Think we covered more than 10km as every tree, post and pole had to be inspected by Zephyr!”
Donations are still open until 20th November
and if you would donate a little or a lot to support Sarah & Lynne on their fundraising cause, please call Sarah Hill or Lynne Ruscoe for details or use these QR codes to directly support their Sunshine Walk fundraiser. Every dollar counts!
