COLUMBARIUM AND MEMORIAL GARDEN
“…and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” (Psalm 23:6)
The Columbarium at Providence Baptist Church offers a final resting place for the ashes of loved ones who have died. Located between the Sanctuary and Randolph Hall in a quiet, beautifullylandscaped part of our campus, the Columbarium is a sacred space for reflection and remembrance.
Members of Providence; their immediate families; and current, or former, ministers of Providence (and their spouses) may purchase a niche in the Columbarium. Each niche is designed to hold two standard burial urns.
Families make arrangements with the funeral home of their choice for handling cremations and the purchase of a burial urn. For each niche, Providence provides a granite cover on which the deceased person’s name, birth date, and death date are engraved.
Each niche costs $2,100. This amount provides for both the granite niche cover and engraving, as well as for the ongoing care and maintenance of the Columbarium. Memorial plaques are also available to honor those whose remains are not interred in the Columbarium. These plaques cost $650 each.
