Creating and Joining a Headset call with Care Homes

ICT Quick Start Guide

1. Set up a call with the care home at a pre-agreed date and time in your outlook calendar:

i) Give the call a meaningful name so you and the care home know what the call is about.

ii) Enter the email address for the headset (see list below). If someone other than yourself will be joining the call, make sure you invite them as well.

iii) Set the date and time as agreed.

iv) Ensure a MS Teams link is included to be able to join the call.

v) Send the invite.

2) At the agreed date and time, launch the teams call from your calendar. When the headset user joins, you will need to admit them into the room from the lobby. A notification will be displayed on screen else click on People.

Headset Users can issue the following commands whilst on a call with you:

IN CALL COMMANDS

“Zoom Level (1 to 5)” Zooms the camera in and out.

“Flashlight on/ flashlight off” Turns on and off the flashlight

“Mute Mic” Turns of microphone so the other person on the call can’t hear you anyone else with you

“Take Picture” – sends still image to meeting chat. Here you can download and add to the patient record.

“End Call” – ends the call (needs to be said twice to confirm)

GENERAL COMMANDS

“Navigate Back” – Go back one screen

“Navigate Home” – Go back to home screen

“Show Help”
