Overview We identify and invest in the most effective frontline efforts to eradicate modern slavery in the countries and sectors where it is most prevalent. Partnering with visionary investors, governments, anti-slavery organizations and those at risk of exploitation, we tackle the systems that allow slavery to persist and thrive. Working together, we protect vulnerable populations, liberate and reintegrate those enslaved and prosecute those responsible.
Vision
The Freedom Fund has programs in northern India, southern India, Ethiopia, Thailand, southeastern Nepal and central Nepal. We currently support and fund some 100 organizations in these regions, the vast majority of which are frontline, community-based NGOs. We also work to influence global policy by commissioning and sharing research and amplifying the voices of our partners.
• We generate private funding by demonstrating how effective interventions can protect those at risk of being enslaved and free those in slavery.
Our vision is a world free of slavery. Mission Our mission is to mobilize the knowledge, capital and will needed to end slavery.
• We invest in those countries and sectors with the greatest incidence of slavery. • We analyse which interventions work best, and we share that knowledge. • We bring together a community of activists committed to ending slavery and empowered by the knowledge of how best to do so.
