Welcome to the Prospanica Familia!

Dear Valued Partners and Members,
As CEO of Prospanica, I am committed to developing the next generation of Hispanic and Latino talent and increasing professional representation. As a long-time advocate of higher education and lifelong learning, I know firsthand the vital role Prospanica plays in supporting Hispanic professionals throughout their careers. From my college years to earning an MBA from Fordham University and becoming President and CEO, Prospanica has been a cornerstone of my journey.
I am proud of our work, which has opened doors for Hispanic talent through leadership opportunities, job placements, and professional development programs. Ongoing commitment and adaptability are crucial for companies aiming to meet their professional development goals within diverse communities. At Prospanica, we offer a range of programs designed to support and elevate Hispanic MBAs and other business professionals.
As our partners, I encourage you to engage in the conversation about enhancing professional development among all groups with an open mind and a willingness to adapt. Progress requires collective effort and a commitment to excellence at all levels. We must also protect the progress we have made.
Let’s work together to create a future where every professional feels valued. Thank you for your dedication to making this vision a reality.
Sincerely,
Thomas Savino CEO, Prospanica

Be the leading catalyst for Hispanic achievement.
VISION MISSION
Empower and enable Hispanic professionals to achieve their full educational, economic and social potential.
Prospanica evolved from the National Association of Hispanic MBAs & Business Professionals. Since 1988, we have advocated for the advancement of Hispanic professionals, finding innovative avenues for our community to achieve its full educational, economic, and social potential. Our focus lies within a community of highly educated individuals who prioritize continuous learning and career satisfaction as integral aspects of their identity. Our reach extends to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as business professionals, supporting them throughout their professional endeavors.

We Are the Future
The Hispanic/Latino community has seen the fastest growth in advanced degrees of any major racial or ethnic group*
Between 2000 and 2021, the number of Hispanic women with advanced degrees increased by 291%, and Hispanic men by 199%. Despite this progress, the Hispanic/Latin* community represents only 8% of advanced degree holders, though we make up 19% of the U.S. population* (Pew Research, 2023).
In 2021, U.S. Latino income was $2.5 trillion, growing 4.7% compared to 1.9% for non-Latinos. If measured by GDP, the U.S. Latino economy would be the world’s fifth largest, driven by youth, population growth, labor force participation, and educational attainment (2023 LDC U.S. Latino GDP Report).
This highlights the importance of organizations like Prospanica, which develops Hispanic/Latin* professionals, enriching the corporate landscape with diverse talent and driving growth.
While our representation in advanced degrees has increased, it has declined at the top 30 business schools over the past three years (AACSB, 2022). Prospanica is actively working to address these inequities.
Prospanica aims to empower emerging Hispanic/Latin* professionals and connect them with our corporate network. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we have raised over $8 million in scholarships and support the Prospanica Center for Social Justice.
