Vallarta Pride, la gran fiesta de la inclusión y la diversidad

E

n Vallarta, la celebración del Pride se ha convertido en uno de los eventos icónicos de la ciudad ya que representa una oportunidad única para que la comunidad LGBTQ+ celebre su identidad, luche por sus derechos y visibilidad, y promueva la igualdad y el respeto a la diversidad sexual y de género. Además, el Vallarta Pride también es una plataforma para la educación y conciencia sobre la discriminación, la homofobia, la transfobia y los problemas que enfrenta la comunidad.

Hay que recordar que Puerto Vallarta está considerada como una de las ciudades

mas amigables con la comunidad LGBTQ+ en todo el mundo por lo que los organizadores invitan a toda la población a participar en los diversos eventos que incluyen moda, cultura, deporte, fiesta y diversión.

Hay que recordar que es tal la importancia del turismo LGBTQ que 3 de cada 10 hoteles en Puerto Vallarta atienden específicamente a miembros de la comunidad. Se calcula que los visitantes que arriban a nuestra ciudad pertenecientes a este segmento están creciendo anualmente en un 10%, por lo tanto es indispensable crear una comunidad con espacios seguros para todas las personas que disfrutamos de Puerto Vallarta.

l Turismo Residenciado es un segmento en crecimiento constante y tiene una influencia significativa en la industria turística de muchos destinos alrededor del planeta.

En el artículo anterior se definieron a grandes rasgos sus principales características. Conforme las tendencias socioeconómicas nacionales e internacionales, se plantearon sus perspectivas en el presente y futuro. Vale la pena recordar que este nicho de mercado se conforma por aquellas personas que deciden residir por largas temporadas o de manera definitiva en lugares distintos a sus países de origen.

En esta segunda entrega nos adentraremos en algunos de sus comportamientos a fin de conocerlo más a fondo. Este tipo de turismo actúa bajo motivadores en ocasiones distintos a los del turismo tradicional.

En primera instancia, el Turismo Residenciado es más exigente que el tradicional en cuanto a las condiciones que ofrecen los destinos. Ejemplo: si la estancia en el lugar es pasajera, se puede “aceptar” que no cuente con una señal óptima para el uso de móviles y equipos de cómputo, a cambio de ello, ofrece una naturaleza pródiga que compensa la falla. Los turistas residenciados prefieren un sitio cercano a su país de origen y que además cuente con buenas vialidades y transportes para viajar a ellos. Buscan también lugares en donde exista un ambiente social agradable y tranquilo, de preferencia que cuente con comunidades de su nacionalidad. Dado que los jubilados son el grupo más representativo del Turismo Residenciado y que estos cuentan con bastante tiempo libre o de ocio, requieren lugares en donde ocuparlo, como clubes, museos, recintos culturales, etc. En estos sitios, además de diversión y salud encuentran espacios de realización personal.

Resulta bastante complicado delimitar tajantemente las acciones y comportamientos del Turismo Residenciado, porque en ocasiones son parecidos a las

Una de ellas que se encuentra en expansión constante son las residencias colectivas para jubilados. En esta modalidad, el gasto de la renta se reparte entre varias personas y además, en muchos casos, el contrato incluye la posibilidad de compra, tomando en cuenta lo invertido en rentas.

Por su número y crecimiento, el Turismo Residenciado influye poderosamente en el renglón socioeconómico, sobre todo en los polos turísticos. Es importante conocerlo sobre todo para quienes mantienen una relación comercial y social con él, como es el caso de la industria inmobiliaria. l día 24 de abril se llevó a cabo la inauguración del departamento modelo de Valarte, el nuevo desarrollo ubicado estratégicamente en Fluvial Vallarta, el cual estará listo para entregar en verano de 2024.

El punto de reunión fue en el amplio lobby y se inició con la bendición del padre, para proseguir la inauguración oficial del corte de listón. Entre los que lo llevaron a cabo se encontraban: Karen Malacara, Directora de Nuevos Proyectos de Grupo Gova; Patricia Virgen, Socia Directora de Trascende Desarrollos y; Taniel Chemsian y Carl Timothy, representantes de las dos comercializadoras bróker master.

Hicieron una breve descripción

y hablaron de las cualidades del proyecto y de cómo Valarte se distingue de los demás desarrollos de la zona y las ventajas de adquirir una unidad ahí. Asimismo, comentaron que casi el 50% está ya vendido y con la inauguración del departamento modelo se espera que muy pronto se termine de vender.

rad Pitt compró una casa «embrujada» por 1.7 millones de dólares en 1994 y este año la vendió por 39 millones de dólares, lo que probablemente la convierte en una de las más grandes operaciones inmobiliarias por el increíble margen de ganancia.

Y es que hay que apuntar que Brad Pitt, además de ser buen actor, productor, filántropo y amante de la arquitectura, tiene ojo de águila para los negocios inmobiliarios, pues a finales de marzo Brad Pitt cerró la venta de la casa en la que vivió los últimos 30 años en Los Angeles por 39 millones de dólares.

Esta casa la compro en 1994 al estilo es-

pañol, diseñada por el famoso arquitecto Richard Landry en 1910, en una calle cerrada y arbolada en Los Feliz por alrededor de 1.7 millones de dólares. rad Pitt bought a «haunted» house for $1.7 million in 1994 and sold it this year for $39 million, probably making it one of the biggest real estate deals by incredible profit margin.

La historia de la casa embrujada En 1910 un magnate petrolero texano compró el predio y construyó una mansion que abrió a todas las estrellas del cine de la época dorada de Hollywood y donde corrían a caudales alcohol y otro tipo de sustancias, pero esto sólo duró hasta 1929, pues con la Gran Depresión el magnate quebró y acabó suicidándose en la casa.

En la década de los 60, Mark Hamill, el actor de La Guerra de las Galaxias, se mudó a esta mansión junto a un amigo. Una noche el actor lo encontró muerto dentro de un armario. El terrible hecho del suicidio hizo que Mark abandonase la propiedad que rentaba inmediatamente.

En 1989, Cassandra Peterson, mejor conocida como Elvira la de la película «Elvira, reina de las tinieblas», adquirió la casa, desconociendo los hechos que habían sucedido ahí. «Oía pisadas en el piso de arriba y estaba deshabitado. No dormía nadie allí arriba.

Veía mujeres vestidas como de los años 30 y en la puerta de la casa se me aparecieron varios hombres», contó Cassandra en una entrevista para la televisión. Pero siguió viviendo en la casa hasta que en 1994 Brad Pitt, que ya tenía una trayectoria importante y era un actor reconocido, quiso comprarle la propiedad.

Cassandra relató a la revista People cómo fue la transacción con Brad Pitt: tres veces se reunió con él para explicarle que la casa estaba embrujada. “Le avisamos que habían pasado muchas cosas raras desde que entramos allí […] Durante todo el tiempo que viví allí, vi fantasmas por todo lados, entrando en mi habitación, flotando en el fondo de la piscina, sentados frente a la chimenea […], parecían escenas sacadas de una pesadilla, de películas de terror. […]

Sé que suena a una locura. Soy Elvira. Sé que es lo que se espera de mí, ¿verdad?, pero no tengo alucinaciones, no estaba drogada y no puedo explicar esas cosas”.

Cassandra también se enteró que una actriz joven se había ahogado en la piscina en los años 30, así que decidió traer a un sacerdote y exorcizar la casa, pero tampoco esto dio resultado por lo que decidió ponerla a la venta, harta de estar lidiando con fantasmas y espantos. Cuando le contó la historia a Brad Pitt “él estaba encantado” y “me dijo que todo lo que le estaba contando le parecía genial” y compró la casa inmediatamente.

Cassandra also found out that a young actress had drowned in the pool in the 30s, so she decided to bring a priest and exorcise the house, but this didn’t work either, so she decided to put it up for sale, fed up with dealing with ghosts and frights. When she told the story to Brad Pitt «he was delighted» and «he told me that everything he was telling him sounded great» and she bought the house immediately.

Vallarta Pride 2023

ride Vallarta es la celebración anual de la orgullosa comunidad LGBTQ+ de Puerto Vallarta y se llevará a cabo entre el 17 y 28 de mayo por décima ocasión. Iniciada en 2005 con el apoyo de un grupo de voluntarios locales y extranjeros, que sumando esfuerzo y mucho trabajo, la han convertido en una de las celebraciones de la Comunidad más importantes del mundo, atrayendo una gran cantidad de visitantes tanto nacionales como extranjeros y convirtiendo a Vallarta en una inmensa reunión para promover la igualdad, el reconocimiento, la visibilización y la inclusión de la Comunidad LGBTQ+.

Pride Vallarta es una muestra de apoyo y inclusión a la diversidad sexual y de género en Puerto Vallarta y se ha convertido en uno de los mayores eventos del orgullo gay en México. Está diseñado para conmemorar a todos a los miembros de la comunidad LGBTQ+, así como para enfatizar en la importancia de la igualdad y la diversidad.

Pride Vallarta es un evento que une a turistas y a locales de todas las preferencias e identidades, así como a sus familias y amigos en un festejo que celebra la vida, la libertad y la aceptación de todes. Algunas de las actividades que se realizan son los desfiles, las fiestas, los conciertos, paneles de discusión, la primer carrera de 5k y 10k, un fashion show y ceremonias de bienvenida y clausura. Es importante recalcar que cualquier persona, ya sea parte de la Comunidad o no, es bienvenida a participar en todas las actividades, pues uno de los mensajes principales que se quiere comunicar es la inclusión.

En esta edición se hará un especial énfasis en la visibilización de las comunidades indígenas LGBTQ+, quienes sufren de carencias importantes, adicional al desconocimiento de sus propios derechos. Es por ellos que Vallarta Pride estará apoyando directamente este tipo de comunidades, para hacerlas partícipes, crear consciensia y brindarles apoyo en todas sus necesidades.

Semana Santa: la Importancia del Turismo Nacional Holy Week: The importance of National Tourism

A

propósito del periodo vacacional de Semana Santa y de Pascua hoy quiero tocar nuevamente el tema del turismo nacional, conocido también como turismo doméstico o turismo interno, y su importancia en la reactivación económica del sector en México.

El turismo, que es una de las fuentes más importantes de recursos para el país, después de las remesas, muestra su capacidad de resiliencia desde 2021, al mantener una paulatina recuperación, volviendo a la dinámica estacional que le caracteriza.

En lo que respecta al turismo nacional, recordemos que tras el cierre de fronteras internacionales debido a la pandemia de covid-19, este surgió como una solución para la reactivación turística en el país. Muchos mexicanos y residentes optaron por viajar, conocer pueblos mágicos, zonas rurales o hasta hospedarse en un hotel en su misma ciudad para descansar y vivir experiencias distintas que los hiciera salir de la monotonía.

Desde entonces, se ha impulsado el turismo en zonas que antes eran menos visitadas, además de que muchos turistas nacionales se interesan más por la cultura y la historia del país, contribuyendo así a la promoción de la riqueza cultural de México.

Siguiendo en el tema, quiero compartirles algunos datos que denotan la importancia del turismo nacional en México, un país que, según el Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo –WTTC por sus siglas en inglés–, es uno de los mayores mercados en el mundo, ocupando el quinto lugar entre los de mayor volumen de viajeros re-

sidentes.

Otro dato a destacar, de acuerdo con la Cuenta Satélite del Turismo de Datatur, es la confirmación de que este segmento representa la mayor contribución a la economía del país, pues el 76.3% del consumo turístico es ejercido por estos viajeros. Así mismo, puede observarse que en los destinos turísticos con más de 2,000 habitaciones el 72.3% de los turistas que llegan a cuartos de hotel son residentes en el país.

A nivel global los datos son aún más reveladores. La Organización Mundial del Turismo (OMT) indica que el turismo interno en el mundo es de 9 mil millones de viajes y su contribución es del 68% del total. Asimismo, por cada turista internacional hay por lo menos seis turistas internos.

Importancia del turismo nacional A manera de colofón quiero compartirles varias razones por las que considero que el turismo

interno es sumamente importante: El turismo nacional puede ser una fuente importante de ingresos y empleo para las comunidades turísticas locales.

Cuando las personas viajan dentro de su propio país, tienen la oportunidad de conocer más sobre la cultura, la historia, y la diversidad del país.

Puede ser una oportunidad para fomentar prácticas turísticas más sostenibles.

El turismo nacional puede ayudar a fortalecer la industria turística local, promoviendo el desarrollo de nuevas alternativas turísticas y la diversificación de la oferta turística.

Podría ser una alternativa para reducir la dependencia del turismo internacional, que puede ser afectado por situaciones políticas, económicas o sanitarias de otros países.

Since then, tourism has been promoted in areas that were previously less visited, in addition to many national tourists becoming more interested in the culture and history of the country, thus contributing to the promotion of the cultural richness of Mexico.

cording to the Datatur Tourism Satellite Account, is the confirmation that this segment represents the greatest contribution to the country’s economy, since 76.3% of tourism consumption is exercised by these travelers. Likewise, it can be observed that in tourist destinations with more than 2,000 rooms, 72.3% of tourists who arrive at hotel rooms are residents of the country.

At a global level the data is even more revealing. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) indicates that domestic tourism in the world is 9 billion trips and its contribution is 68% of the total.

Likewise, for every international tourist there are at least six internal tourists.

Importance of national tourism As a climax I want to share several reasons why I consider domestic tourism to be extremely important: Domestic tourism can be an important source of income and employment for local tourism communities.

When people travel within their own country, they have the opportunity to learn more about the country’s culture, history, and diversity.

It can be an opportunity to promote more sustainable tourism practices.

National tourism can help strengthen the local tourism industry, promoting the development of new tourism alternatives and the diversification of the tourism offer.

It could be an alternative to reduce dependence on international tourism, which can be affected by political, economic or health situations in other countries.
