Arrival/Departure: Check-in time is at 4:00pm and check-out time is at 10:00am. Requests for an early check-in or check-out must be requested in advance. Before departing, ensure all windows and doors are closed, air conditioning off and safes emptied and left open.
Chef Services: There are many talented chefs on the island that can cater to all your needs. If you would like to have a chef come and cook for you at the villa, whether it’s one, two, or all three meals, we can arrange that for you at an additional cost.
Groceries: We are happy to purchase groceries on your behalf. There will be a 15% administration fee added to your bill at the end of your stay. However, if you would like to shop at your own leisure, there are several grocery stores on the island. There are also several local fruit and vegetable stands around the island.
Villa Pool: Pool lights can be controlled from the sunroom. Please exercise caution when entering and exiting the pool. To avoid accidents, we recommend the use of our acrylic glassware around the deck instead of glass. Please be careful – tiled floors anywhere can be very slippery when wet or sandy.
Air-Conditioning: Please help us to conserve energy when using the air-conditioning by ensuring doors and windows in the residence are tightly closed when the air conditioners are on, and units turned off when rooms are unoccupied. We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible and in order to keep the air-conditioning units working efficiently, please ensure we maintain a balanced airflow through-out the residence. The remote for each bedroom air-conditioning unit is located on the wall as you walk into the room.
Electricity: Anguilla’s electricity is the same as in the USA (110V) with US standard power and plugs. Kindly help to conserve electricity by turning off lights. Power outages are rare but occasionally occur. Songbird Villa does have a generator.
Water: Anguilla is blessed with many beautiful beaches, but unfortunately not much rainfall. To conserve water a few small adjustments can make a big difference, such as not letting the tap run freely while brushing your teeth and keeping shower times short. We recommend purchasing bottled water for drinking.
Safety: Though Anguilla is as close to the image of a perfect world as we can imagine, we should still practice reasonable safety with locking up. We realize the villa has lots of doors and windows, but it’s important to lock them when you’re away and at night.
An In-room safe has been provided in the primary bedroom for your valuables. It is easy to lock using the key provided or with a 4-digit pin code of your own. Any valuables that may not fit in the safe should be stored away from view when going out.
Turn on exterior lights before going out in the evening and turn off before retiring at night.
