Marian Y. Woods, MBA, is an author, speaker, thought leader, producer, and global corporate executive with over thirty years of business experience in human resource management, leadership development, and business transformation. She worked as senior-level human resources professional for such Fortune 500 companies as AT&T, Verizon, and The Hartford. She has operated as head of human resources for the past twelve years. Marian served as the Commissioner of Human Resources for the City of Atlanta and a member of Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms' Cabinet. In addition, Marian serves as the Chief Human Resources officer of the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. She is widely known as the CEO of Propel Enterprises LLC, a human resource consulting firm comprised of transformation professionals who elevate people and integrate human capital, returning investments that Propel. In addition to her undergraduate work in Psychology, she holds a BS in Organizational Management and an MBA in Human Resource Management. Marian is a doctoral candidate in the process of completing her Doctor of Business Administration in Leadership degree.
Marian is a Leadership Atlanta alum member of The Class of 2017. She previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Fulton County Boys & Girls Clubs. She is the Past President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) – MECCA Chapter and served as the NCBW National Third Vice President of Membership and Chapter Development. Marian is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Marian was honored by the National Diversity Council as one of Georgia's Most Powerful & Influential Women. Also, RollingOut Magazine recognized her as one of Atlanta's Female Success Factor Top 25 Women, and she was one of the Forty Female Powerhouses featured in the twelfth edition of Who's Who in Black Atlanta. She was honored as a recipient of the Trumpet Awards Foundation High Heels in High Places Award. Marian is an accomplished writer, appearing regularly as a featured columnist in the Atlanta Tribune Magazine and several other publications. Marian was named the INROADS Southeast Region Atlanta Market Business Advisor of the Year.
Marian Y. Woods, also known as Lady Propel, is the founder and CEO of My Girlfriends, Inc. (MGI). MGI is a registered Georgia non-profit organization that provides personal and professional development for women who find themselves in a proverbial holding pattern, unable to incite advancement. Marian is the Executive Producer and host of the Propel Leadership Development Summit (Propel LDS) for Women and the Venus & Mars Summit (VMS) for Couples. Propel LDS is an annual leadership summit comprised of Master Classes for women in personal progression, relational reciprocation, professional prowess, and financial fitness. VMS is an event purposed to equip couples with the necessary tools to have healthy relationships that continue to evolve through growth and time.
Marian has two biological sons, a bonus son, a daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters. She has dual residency, Pittsburgh, PA and Conyers, GA, with her husband, Raymond Woods.

Dr. Kathy Wilson Humphrey 11th President of Carlow University
Dr. Kathy W. Humphrey is a revered transformative and effective pioneering leader with more than 35 years in higher education. Faith is the cornerstone of her life, and it defines her path and purpose. Dr. Faith is the cornerstone of her life, and it defines her path and purpose. Dr. Humphrey has been an active member of Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh for 17 years. There she is part of the ministerial staff and the Marriage Committee. She has been married to Lyle Humphrey for 37 years, and is the mother to two sons, David and Daniel, and grandmother to Elijah David Humphrey. She has 11 siblings and 108 nieces and nephews.
As the first African American President of Carlow University, she is honored to lead a faith-based institution. Carlow’s mission aligns closely with her life-long commitment to service, social justice, and reverence for God’s creation. In her role, she is committed to providing opportunity to those in the Pittsburgh community and beyond who might otherwise not have the chance to become the people they want to become.
Prior to her arrival at Carlow, she served as senior vice chancellor for engagement and secretary to the board of trustees for the University of Pittsburgh, having previously served for nine years as vice provost and dean of students. She and her team opened the first Community Engagement Center in Homewood, a placed-based strategy that assists Pitt in providing service to the community.
Dr. Humphrey has also served her community as a member of the Board of Directors of Leadership Pittsburgh Inc., Gwen’s Girls, The Forbes Funds, the Federal Reserve Board of Cleveland, River Life, United Way, and the Pittsburgh Symphony. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the International Women’s Forum of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Humphrey holds a BS from the University of Central Missouri, an MA from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and a PhD from Saint Louis University. She also holds executive certificates from Harvard Kennedy School and INSEAD in Fountainbleau, France.

Antravese Stanton is a health and wellness coach and the owner of Soar into Wellness, LLC which provides 1:1 coaching, group coaching, and workshops to women to help them achieve a higher level of well-being when change is hard She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation A Master of Science degree in Health Science/Health Promotions with a concentration in Wellness Coaching along with certification in ACSM, CTRS and AFAA. Additionally, Antravese is a senior wellness executive with over 15 years in the clinical and corporate wellness space
Antravese is the co-owner of Hunt & Stanton Solutions, LLC providing group counseling, workshops and wellness coaching to women who are driven by a strong personal desire to live out their true purpose but feel stuck in the process. She provides women with a safe space to cultivate growth so they can have freedom and fulfillment without sacrificing who they are
Angela E. Mike is the Executive Director of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Division of the Pittsburgh Public School District. Angela oversees 21 approved Career and Technical Education programs located in six of the high schools and she is responsible for multiple career exploration elective courses at the high school and middle school level. A district employee for over 22 years, Angela has also served as a CTE Curriculum Development Project Manager, Cosmetology Instructor, Career Development Instructor, and Graduation Project Instructor. Angela currently serves on the Superintendent’s Cabinet and the Academic Cabinet Angela earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and graduated summa cum laude. She is a certified vocational instructor as well as a certified Cooperative Education Coordinator. After teaching for several years, she returned to school to earn advanced certifications in education administration. She completed coursework to earn both her Supervisor and Director of Vocational Education certifications at IUP and then furthered her education by earning her Principal Certification at The University of Pittsburgh. Angela has served on the YouthWorks, Inc. Board, TRWIB Youth Policy Council, Three Rivers Area Labor Committee (Summer Pipeline program), and the PACTA Executive Board She has presented at regional and statewide conferences on dual enrollment, CTE pathways, developing industry partnerships, and assessment exam success tools.

Danielle Nichols, MSA, PHR, SHRM-CP, is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM certified professional (SHRM-CP), certified Leadership Agility 360 Coach and Executive Leadership Council fellow. Danielle is a dynamic executive leader and business strategist with 20 years’ experience as a Human Resources Practitioner She has a diverse generalist background with extensive experience in creating cultures of collaboration and providing broad, progressive HR consultation.
Danielle is currently the Deputy Commissioner of Human Resources with the City of Atlanta with responsibility for directing the planning, development, implementation, administration and budgeting for all HR operational functions. Prior to joining the City of Atlanta, Danielle provided key strategic HR consultation within news, entertainment media, integrated security solutions and technology distribution industries.
Danielle earned a Master of Science in Human Resources as well as a graduate certificate in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Policy Studies from Georgia State University.
Marsha Grayson is a multi-faceted, results-oriented management professional with comprehensive experience demonstrating quantifiable achievements and expertise encompassing all facets of legal, management, government and social services. Her legal background includes litigation and successful resolution of complex matters related to family law, child welfare, housing, elder law and contracts
In addition to her 26 years of legal experience, She has extensive experience in the area of public housing, the housing choice voucher program, occupancy, relocation services, property management. Ms. Grayson currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh
Prior to working for the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, Ms. Grayson served as a child advocate, in-house counsel for the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services in Kannapolis North Carolina, Counsel for the Guardian Ad Litem Program in Salisbury, North Carolina and worked for Neighborhood Legal Services in Greensboro, North Carolina

Ms. Grayson is a graduate of Elon University with Dual degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. Ms. Grayson is a graduate of Wake Forest School of Law and is licensed to practice law both in the States of North Carolina and Pennsylvania

Kimberly McAllister Thomas is the CEO of Don’t Quit, Inc an organization she founded following a horrific car accident she survived only through God’s grace. Kimberly serves as First Lady and co-pastor of Rapha Ministries of the Apostolic Faith located on Upland Street in Pittsburgh, alongside her husband Suff. Bishop Jeremiah L. Thomas. Kimberly is one of 10 siblings and was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School system Kimberly is a servant leader who is instrumental in helping families navigate the death of their loved ones through counseling and coaching during the burial process. She is a mother, a grandmother, and sister-friend to many.

Michelle Sandidge is the Chief Community Affairs Officer of the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP). She oversees the Community Affairs Department and Resident Self-Sufficiency Department. Her role includes the coordination of cross-departmental strategic business initiatives, design and implementation of new programming, revision of administrative policies and practices and staff development
After exclusively overseeing the public affairs of the Housing Authority for numerous years, she successfully spearheaded the development of the HACP Communications Department in 1997. Under her leadership, the department presented the nationally acclaimed and HUD awarded Clean Slate program, a drug prevention and education advancement program for the youth of Pittsburgh public housing.

During her career with the HACP, is a key member of the organization’s Choice Neighborhood Initiatives and has helped secure tens of millions of dollars in essential funding Ms Sandidge has also led the development of a non-profit affiliate organization for the HACP - Clean Slate E3. Through Clean Slate E3, she has oversight of an annual scholarship program that is supported through charitable organizations and typically generates more than $200,000 per year in support She has brokered relations throughout the philanthropic community on behalf of HACP which has led to external funding support for projects such as the HACP’s WOW CyberBus, and the ABK Learning and Development Center.
Ms. Sandidge is a former public housing resident, born and raised in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, with a strong commitment to the improvement of the quality of life for urban youth Ms Sandidge humbly boasts of her greatest accomplishment – her daughter Jourdan who is God’s blessing and her inspiration. Education and Scholarship is her passion. Currently, Ms. Sandidge and her daughter are administering a donor advised fund – the Jourdan Kelli Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation– which provides financial assistance toward post-secondary education for residents of public housing She is an active contributor to her families scholarship program at Macedonia Church and is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc

Tyian Battle, founder of ACH Clear Pathways, received her associate degree in Business Administration from Duff’s Business Institute in 1999 and a Bachelor Degree in Business Science, Organizational Leadership from Point Park University in 2009. Ms Battle also has been honored with the Entrepreneur Award at the fifth annual Passion Meets the Road ceremony in September 2018 She was the recipient of the Strong Women Strong Girl 2016 Strong Award for Community Leadership and the 2016 New Pittsburgh Courier Women of Excellence Award. She also successfully completed and received a certificate of achievement from Leadership Pittsburgh XXXIII, a highly selective initiative geared toward established leaders, designed to examine critical community issues, enhance civic-engagement, and empower participants to impact their business and the regional agenda at a leadership level
In February 2015, Baden Academy Charter School awarded Ms Battle with the Dr Martin Luther King, Jr Dream-Makers Award On July 21, 2011, the City of Pittsburgh issued a proclamation honoring Ms. Battle and ACH Clear Pathways declaring it “ACH Clear Pathways Day.” Point Park University has also highlighted Ms. Battle’s achievements as an alumna success story on their website.
Ms Battle, as founder and executive director of ACH Clear Pathways, plans to expand programming to other City of Pittsburgh communities Ms Battle initiated a capital campaign and successfully raised $4 5 million dollar which funded the acquisition and renovation of the Kaufmann Center, that is now the artistic hub of ACH Clear Pathways. This community arts center will serve not only youth, but families, adults, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities.

Monique Walker is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is the Learning Program Manager at Gannett Fleming. Prior to her current role, she also served as the Project Manager Assistant and Assistant Contract Administrator at Gannett Fleming.


Monique serves as the Treasurer of the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. As the treasurer she is responsible for oversight of the financial affairs of the sorority.
Monique has a Bachelor of Environmental Safety and Heath from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She also has a Master of Business Administration from Point Park University
Nicole Rhodes is a 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She currently serves as Associate Legal Counsel for the Office of University Counsel at the University of Pittsburgh.
Prior to joining the University she was the Assistant General Counsel for the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. Previously she was a Trial Attorney at the Allegheny County office of the Public Defender and she also worked at several law firms and corporations in a variety of practice areas.
Nicole has served on various boards of directors. Currently she is the Co-Vice Chair of the Board of Wesley Family Services, a member of the Board for the FBI Citizens' Academy Alumni Association, and she is also a member of the Board for Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company. Valerie McDonald Roberts has held elected and appointed government positions for almost 30 years, as Chief Urban Affairs within the Office of Mayor William Peduto, Allegheny County Recorder of Deeds, Manager of Allegheny County Department of Real Estate, City of Pittsburgh Council Member, and Board President/Board Member of Pittsburgh Public Schools. Additionally, she worked in private industry for 17 years, as Senior Chemist and Microscopist for petroleum lubricants development, materials testing and asbestos analysis, Medical Technologist, math and chemistry instructor, and coowner and manager of a union electrical construction company
Valerie was a trailblazer in becoming the first African American woman elected to Pittsburgh City Council, first woman to chair Council’s Committee on Budget and Finance, first African American to be elected county-wide to an Allegheny County Row Office, and first African American to be elected President of the state’s Pennsylvania Recorders of Deeds Association There she hosted and organized two state-wide conventions.
She currently serves as Board Chairman of the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh and its development affiliates and has served as Co-Chairman of the Pittsburgh Community Task Force for Police Reform, Advisory Committee member of the Midwife Center, and Governor’s Pennsylvania Commission for Women She has served on over 30 non-profit boards and commissions and has received over 35 awards for public service.

In the political realm, she garnered broad experience and connections as a state-wide candidate for Lieutenant Governor and served as regional campaign manager for a state-wide Pennsylvania Supreme Court candidate Active in Democratic Party endeavors, she served as State Committee Member; DNC Delegate 1996 (Bill Clinton), 2000 (Al Gore), 2004 (John Kerry), 2008 (Barack Obama), and 2016 (Hillary Clinton); and was honored as Appointed Pennsylvania Presidential Elector for Barack Obama in 2008 and for Bill Clinton in 1996.
Valerie received her B S in Medical Technology and M S in Forensic Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, both Summa cum Laude She is a church Trustee and has served as a children’s Christian educator for over 40 years. Dr. Wesley provides an array of services including compliance monitoring, housing consulting and other technical assistance services to various Public Housing Authorities (PHA’s), including on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Consulting services have been provided under the Drug Elimination Program (PHDEP) technical assistance provision, Anti-Drug Initiatives, Weed and Seed, Resident Initiatives Programs (ROSS), FiveYear/Annual Plan Development, Commissioner/Staff Training and Grants Management to include CIAP, COMP, Operating and Capital Fund DRW has facilitated the preparation of over 150 comprehensive housing plans (Annual Plans and MTW Agreements) for PHA’s to include assisting with the development of Strategic Plans and Comprehensive Needs Assessments as well as provided Third Party Management Assessments at the request of HUD and Housing Agencies to ascertain PHA’s management abilities and capacities for asset revitalization
