We are coming into the most exciting time of our Prom Shoppe history. This year is bringing the biggest changes in our store and in the dresses that we have had since we opened!

The 2016-2017 school year has started off with a bang!! I can't even begin to say THANK YOU enough to all the girls who made this Homecoming season such an overwhelming success. We are looking forward to bringing you a fantastic Winter Formal and PROM season as well.

We have also listened closely to all our customers comments, concerns and wishes. We greatly appreciate all the feedback, both positive and negative, from our customers. It has helped us develop and improve over the years.

Because of your suggestions, we are in the midst of making some big changes at The Prom Shoppe to provide the best shopping experience possible. Read more about what is coming inside!

I have always said our customers are more like our family, and it couldn't be more true. I have gotten to know many girls by name, their families and friends have become at home in our store. It has been great to be a part of watching such amazing girls grow throughout their high school career and I am so excited to see what is going to happen next!

BRITTANY LEE MAKEUP I'm not going to lie... Brittany does some of the best makeup I have ever seen. When we know we need a makeup artist there is only one girl we want, and we were lucky enough to land her for this shoot.

She has had a love for makeup since she used her grandmas lipstick at age 5, has been in the industry for about 4 years, and has had training from some of the top makeup artists in the country. She travels all over, loves seeing the clients reaction when a look is finished, and loves enhancing a clients natural beauty.

She is very creative and manages to catch the perfect shot every time.

Sage worked so well with Bailey, directing her into some great positions and backdrops during our photo shoot.

OUR MOST IMPORTANT CHANGES More Room During the break between Homecoming and Winter Formal we will be expanding our floor space to our biggest store yet. We noticed that during our busy times it was difficult to shop in a crowded store. We will also be doubling our dressing rooms!

We know that no one likes to wait, so with 15 available dressing rooms we are hoping the wait is much shorter going ahead. Both these changes should make your shopping experience much smoother.

Perfecting our Promise When we make a promise, we intend to keep it. Our promise to not sell the same dress to the same school is at the heart of our business. We received comments during Homecoming that some of our dresses could also be found at other area stores - which means that someone might have the same dress.

Going forward, we will only carry lines that guarantee exclusivity to The Prom Shoppe. While we cannot control online shopping, we will make sure when you purchase a dress with us you will not drive to the next store and see the same dress. When we say one of a kind, we mean it.

Super Selection Starting with Winter Formal we are expanding our selection to offer even more dresses! We are bringing in new lines, adding more plus size dresses, growing our Design Your own Dress options and bringing in even more selection of quality dresses for any occasion that are $100 or less. We are also adding some amazing new high fashion designer gowns for both Prom and Winter Formal. All in all, thousands of dresses are about to grace our racks for the rest of the year!

IT'S A NEW SEASON OF CHANGE Running a small business is no easy task, but the reward is totally worth it. It has been a blast being a part of The Prom Shoppe, and we are always looking forward to the next great thing we can do for our amazing customers. This Fall we spent some time listening to our shoppers feedback on how to improve our store to provide the best shopping experience possible.

We are excited to be bringing some big changes to our store, our selection and more. But most importantly, we are excited that this will mean an even better store for you, our customers! From the behind the scenes things like alterations and stocking to expanding our store, adding more dressing rooms, more staff and most importantly more dresses, things are only getting better at The Prom Shoppe.

Most of our design changes will occur during the break between Homecoming and Winter Formal. So, for a few days please excuse our mess. We will be opening the Winter Formal season at the end of October, so be sure to stop in and see all the new things that have happened. We still have some fun surprises in store as well, but that is for another Enchant issue!

THE LATEST DRESS TRENDS The 2016-2017 dress season is experiencing some of the biggest new trends in years. Check out all these looks for both cocktail and Prom dresses, all found at The Prom Shoppe.

SOLID DRESSES Sequins, glitter and bling are taking a step back to the sophistication of a simple solid gown. Defined more by the lines and drama than the sparkle and glam, these dresses are true red carpet looks.

TWO-PIECE By far the biggest trend for this year, two piece dresses are every where.

But don'd be deceived, these dresses are worn with very little skin showing.

COLOR BLOCKING

Going hand in hand with both the solid dress and two piece trend, color blocking is in! With bright bold tops paired with a complimentary color skirt, we are seeing tons of great color combos.

FULL SKIRTS Tight jersey and flowing chiffon is still available, but full satin skirts are huge (literally!) right now! These skirts are driven in part by our next big trend...

POCKETS!!

One word, pockets! Enough said pockets rock.

PRINTS Floral, dots, geometric - you name it and that print is hot! We have even seen dresses with lips and ballerinas on them.

HIDDEN SURPRISES Detachable skirts with shorts underneath, pops of color in the lining and more. There are so many fun hidden surprises showing up on dresses this year.

"SCUBA" Neoprene, more commonly known as scuba fabric is the up and coming fabric of the year. It feels amazing to wear!
