With Polyblown family Colines enters the blown film sector

Colines launches Polyblown Entry into the blown film sector

The year 2021 registered a new milestone for Colines, as the Italian company launched its Polyblown lines, the new generation blown film technology family. The lines are available in configurations from 3 to 11 layers, able to perform the widest possible range of products. For decades Colines has mainly focused on the engineering and production of cast extrusion lines, even though occasionally built blown film lines for selected customers. Over the last two years Colines has hired high level technicians, with long-term experience in blown-film extrusion technology, hence investing a great deal in the research and development department. This brought about the engineering of a brand-new family of extrusion lines with blown film technology. The company unveiled the “Polyblown” family in a 3-day open house event in its Marano Ticino facility, from November 23 to 25, 2021. “We have been working for this for two years now and have decided to launch our new lines with a special in-presence event. We know very well that the blown-film market is highly competitive and demanding, nevertheless as a team we are extremely confident about the technologies we have developed and engineered. We are back in full force in this market, and we are extremely proud about our brand-new blown film lines”, said Anthony Michael Caprioli, Colines CEO. The line showcased is a 2,600-mm 7-layers Polyblown multipurpose one: as a matter of fact, the line ran three different productions over the three days in order to prove its extreme versatility. The result was amazing: Colines was positively impressed by the number of customers that attended the open house: over 160, including those who attended in person and those who got in touch with dedicated online one-on-one meetings. “We are very happy about the success we are having on the market. We were able to show the extreme versatility and flexibility of our Polyblown lines by making three different products over the three days which we were much appreciated by our customers. As a proof of that, the line has been immediately sold. I would like to thank all those people who contributed to the success of our event, including our staff, partners and guests. Even though we have not been investing in full force in this market for several years, our Polyblown lines are achieving an amazing success: after having sold the first lines in 2021, now we are strengthening our presence in the market. Our goal is to keep growing and become an excellence in this field, as we have been for years already in cast line production. This will allow us to offer a widest range of technologies, both blown and cast, to our customers”, added Colines marketing and communication director and sales area manager, Gabriele Peccetti. www.colines.it
