It reminds us each day to do great things and be a part of something greater than ourselves, regardless of the position we each hold.

The Lion's Head.
The Lion traditionally symbolizes courage, nobility, leadership, strength, stateliness, and valor This symbol has been chosen to represent the courage, strength, loyalty, and resilience of our IMSI staff.
The Capital "M"
The letter "M" in reference to “MAX” was chosen in a solid heavy-weight font to symbolize the meaning of the level of IMSI’s security

Based off the Conceptual Design of Idaho Maximum Security Institute’s newest Challenge Coin The Born of a Different Breed Collection was created to help support fundraiser efforts to boost and support workplace morale IMSI.
Every purchase made has a powerful impact on the lives of several security staff members, as it helps the IMSI Morale Task Force set up and coordinate facility wide gatherings, and various events, such as Correctional Professional’s Week.
