In today’s busy world, the need to stay connected has become part of daily life. It’s become especially important for parents who need to stay in touch with their children – not only about their social lives, but also about their scholastic lives. To that end, our district has a number of ways to stay in touch electronically with our students, our parents, and our community. First, of course, is our newly designed district website: mywbsd.org This site hosts core district information, as well as links to every school and program within our community. Drop downs and clickable links can put you in touch with whatever program or service you need. But our digital footprint doesn’t end with our website. Parents can use our special parent portal to check the status of their students’ progress in real time.

YAKE ELEMENTARY
Maple Grove Virtual School Since 20212, our district has offered an alternative to our traditional high school: Maple Grove Virtual School. A completely online high school, Maple Grove offers a full slate of courses designed to get any student through to graduation. Students enrolled in Maple Grove not only complete courses at their own pace, but they're also able to take AP courses that grant college credit. To date, more than 150 students have graduated from Maple Grove.
Learning and Leading for Tomorrow
In addition, our staff offers face-to-face and digital support to each student. Students in Maple Grove who want to pursue vocational training can also enroll in the DCTC program (see story below). Besides the non-traditional student, Maple Grove is an ideal fit for home-schooled students whose parents otherwise need to get their own state-approved lesson plans and programs.
