I began my studies in Mikkeli approximatelytenyearsago, intheautumn of 2012. In Mikkeli, I very much enjoyed the international atmosphere of the campus, created by the rich mix of nationalitiesbothwithinthestudentbody and in the faculty Personally, I also appreciated starting my “adult life” in a slightly smaller town with a tight-knit student community before moving into a biggercity.
Looking back, I’m also happy with my decisiontopursuemyBachelor’sdegreein English, asitwasexcellentpreparationfor my future studies and career. ItwasalsoinLondonwhereIfirstbecame interested in consulting I discovered consulting through university collaboration, suchascareerfairs, company excursions and campus recruiting Events like this are a fantastic way to learn more about different industries, and I fully recommend that you take advantage of them as well. What drew me into consulting was the continuous learning opportunities, working with very talented professionals and exposure to different typesoforganisationsandbusinesses After movingbacktoFinlandandworkingin thefinancialsectorforawhile,Ibeganmy careerinconsultingatAccenture for Technology Consulting at Accenture Health & Public Service. I mainly work with public-service clients. My role is typically at the intersection of the clients’ business and technology. Some topics I have worked with include service design and UX, agile development, business process automation, IT strategy and data analytics.
