‘Aranyam’ is a 4 and 5 BHK opulent living residential apartment scheme located in Ahmedabad, India. It is a 22 storeyed, 5 tower scheme designed by Apurva Amin architects.

Low - rise courtyard structures ‘Landhuggers’ is a powerful urban mechanism to produce affordable, sustainable architecture.

The proposal for the studio was to create an innovation and technology park and the site was Hutchinson island, across the historic district of Savannah.

The mission statement was to make more sense from the Savannah urban plan by proposing occupancy to the central space without compromising the integrity of the spaceThus resulting in a Reversal / Yin Yang.

The reversal resulted in a conversion of the trust block to green spaces and the central parks to incubators ; Thus the formation of a ‘leisure valley’ spanning horizontally connecting all incubators.

There is an existing Koba museum complex near Gandhinagar which includes upashraya, jain derasar, museum, library, stay area, bhojanshala and alpagruha.

There is a need of a new museum where all the collections can be put according to the timeline.

There are 23 existing trees in the site, which will be retained according to the principles of Jainism. There will be an attempt to reduce usage of electricity too, by providing natural ventilation and evaporative cooling.

The total built up area of this museum is 9000 sq. m where 40% of the total activity area are the permanent exhibition spaces.

DHAL NI POL, AHMEDABAD.

Ahmedabad is India’s ﬁrst UNESCO World Heritage City. The residences (Pol Houses) are the embellishments of this beautiful city.

The documented area was a part of Dhal Ni Pol, in Ahmedabad, India.

It is a housing cluster which comprises many families of a particular group, linked by caste, profession, or religion.

Some pols contain old beautiful houses with internal courts having intricate wooden carved facades with columns and fresco work done around court walls or ceilings.
