Hello !
Hello, I’m Priyadarshan, a 23-year-old architect and recent graduate from Bearys Enviro Architecture Design School. From a young age, I was drawn to creative pursuits like crafting and sketching, which sparked my passion for art and guided me toward architecture.
I draw inspiration from architects like Bjarke Ingels and Geoffrey Bawa, as well as movements such as Vernacular/Tropical Modernism, Eco-Brutalism, and Minimalism. I’m especially passionate about using natural and local materials to create sustainable designs that respect vernacular traditions.
As a fresher, I’m eager to bring my creativity and dedication to your team while continuing to learn and grow professionally.

The project’s goal is to create a physical environment that is spiritual not just because of the exterior signs but also because of the design. The primary goal is to create an architectural language that will transport inhabitants into a higher spiritual existence by acting as a conduit for communication between the human soul and universal energy.
The design adapts to the local environment and makes use of materials that are readily available locally. The centre promotes calm, peace and encourages students to seek happiness within, as compared to relying heavily on outside sources of fulfillment in these times of increased reliance on technology. Everyone is encouraged to connect with nature and find healing in its open, green places and are taught ancient traditions and techniques of healing like yoga and dhyana. When architecture is spiritually linked to the earth, the energy of the universe enters the occupant’s soul and vice versa, resulting in spiritual wholeness and inner serenity for the mind, body, and soul.
”Panchabhoota” is a concept from traditional Indian philosophy, particularly within the context of Hinduism and Ayurveda. It refers to the five fundamental elements or building blocks of the physical universe. These five elements are believed to constitute everything in the material world, including the human body.
The central OAT, flower of life circle represents the all-encompassing consciousness that is ever-present, with a complete 360-degree circumference, and also symbolizes the unity and transformation of all the five elements, the upward and downward triangle symbolizes the unity of masculine and femmine energy, yin and yang, light and dark.
The building units are placed and shaped on the basis of platonic solids and the spatial planning is done according Vastu shastra, the 5 elements and the 7 Chakras, all the three stiched and transformed to unifying science, art, astronomy, and astrology.
According to the Vastu Purush Mandal, the cosmos is full of beneficial energies and all these elements combined with ideal directions create a balanced and harmonious living environment. We are born, we celebrate our life & we willmerge back into these elements.

This project was designed to develop an ability to appreciate and understand how the vernacular architecture, culture, craftsmanship and heritage were deeply rooted in every part of India in the past. Revive, restore and re use its values in modern context. Vernacular buildings give neighbourhoods their distinct character and at the same time provide a tangible connection between the past and present. Within the urban ensemble provide a setting for life and a unique local character.
This results in the process of adaptive reuse of such buildings in order to make the existing structure and surroundings active once again.
Kodialguthu House and the family have a history of over 600 years. The present structure of the house dates back to roughly around 250 years.
Kodial Guthu Mane
Guthu houses mean homes of prestige. These beautiful houses are the traditional manor houses of Dakshina Kannada, built to fit the requirements of matrilineal joint families. Guthu Manes were built in the centre of the land holdings that each family owned.
Kodialguthu House and the family have a history of over 600 years. The present structure of the house dates back to roughly around 250 years.
Guthu houses, opulent residences of wealthy Mangalorean landlords, were built adhering to Vastu principles. They resembled mini-temples with sloping tile roofs and expansive courtyards overlooking paddy fields. Reflecting bygone wealth and prestige, these houses prioritized comfort in the region’s hot and humid climate while showcasing architectural grandeur.
Guthu houses featured a “jaal” – an open space with a coconut leaf shelter. They had verandas for outdoor sitting and beautiful doors crafted from teakwood or rosewood.
The inner courtyard boasted ornate wooden pillars supporting a decorated ceiling with mango, floral, foliage, and coin motifs. Solid wooden beams, known as “jantis,” provided structural support for this grand ceiling.
