Home Instead East Northants are committed to ‘changing the face of aging’, and want to give back to the community by providing support and companionship once a month at Castello Lounge in Wellingborough and Marks and Spencer at Rushden Lakes.

Infant Aquatics has been running baby and toddler swimming courses for 14 years.

We offer small, friendly group lessons suitable for babies from 10 weeks old to 5 years.

We are a baby led swim school so have a gentle, soft approach to swimming.

In the early years it is about water confidence and showing you lots of different moves and techniques working with baby’s development stages.

As they get older, we start to work towards independence but always at their pace. We don’t push or pull our babies’ underwater but instead show parents how to encourage them to put their own faces in the water but only when they choose to do it. The focus is always on the child, encouraging them to progress at their own pace.

Volunteers required to give carers a break • Do you have a few hours to spare?

• Would you like to make a difference to someone in your community?

• Use your skills and experience to give carers a break • Develop new experiences and skills What's involved?  The Carers Sitting Service provides support by giving a break to those who have a caring responsibility for a husband, wife, partner, parent, relative or friend.  Volunteers make a befriending visit meeting the same person in their own home on a regular basis. As a volunteer befriender you would be visiting someone in your local area.  No qualifications are needed, we will provide some training and on-going support.

It is important that you are a good listener.  understanding, patient, non-judgmental, You may be retired, semi-retired or working part-time and want to use some of the time you have available to help someone else in your area.  It’s possible that you’ve been in a caring role yourself or know a family member or friend who has been a carer and recognise the importance of getting a bit of a break.  You may have worked in social care, social work or nursing yourself.  Perhaps you are looking to gain experience while you search for paid employment?  All volunteers have an informal interview, will need to complete an application form and provide two references. If you are successful we will request a disclosure and barring service (DBS) check, which we will pay for.  Travel expenses will be paid for any visits you make.
