GARY WALTERS ’67 PVC BANQUET

More than 600 members of the Princeton Athletics community came together May 25th to celebrate the Class of 2023 at the Gary Walters ’67 PVC Awards Banquet. The graduating student-athletes were joined by their families, coaches, athletics supporters and “Team Around the Team” for a special dinner program that included highlights and remarks from Tiger seniors and alumni. All senior student-athletes received their varsity letter sweater, which they proudly showed off on the orange carpet alongside fellow teammates and friends.

During the banquet, seven student-athletes were recognized with the department’s most prestigious awards, including the Art Lane ’34 Award for service to sport and society, the Class of 1916 Cup for academic achievement, the von Kienbusch Award and Roper Trophy for the top senior athletes from a men’s and women’s program, and the inaugural Chris Sailer Leadership Award for exceptional leadership and a commitment to serving others. GEN. Mark Milley ’80, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Kathleen Mannheimer of Princeton Career Development were also honored as this year’s recipients of the 1967 PVC Citizen-Athlete (alumni) and Marvin Bressler (campus colleague) awards.
