DIRECTOR David Dendler is in his 21st year of teaching vocal music at Princeton; 35 total years in music education. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Vocal/ Piano Music Education from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He is a composer/ arranger/ vocalist/ pianist who has been published in Plank Road Publishing's Music K-8 Magazine, General Music Today, and Music Educators Journal. Mr. Dendler has performed the National Anthem for the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Cyclones. Mr. Dendler and his family live in Liberty Township.


LEAH BRACKNELL ~ Soprano, Junior, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Symphonic Band, Pride of Princeton Marching Band Drum Major, Jazz Ensemble, Spring Musicals, Varsity Girls Tennis, Academic Quiz Team, Thespian Troupe, Key Club, National Honor Society, and Tri-M Honor Society, Performer at Kings Island, Involved in Community Theater. Favorite thing about VCE: I love how it feels like a family, and that we can have a good time. Also the Dendler Brownies, of course.

EMILY CLAUSEN ~ Alto, Senior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Symphonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Pit Orchestra for the Musicals "Once Upon A Mattress" and now "Bye, Bye Birdie", National Honors Society, French Honors Society, Kennel Technician/Receptionist at Animal Care Centers. Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing about VCE is the different types of music we get to sing, but mainly spending time with my friends in an activity we all enjoy! VCE is so cool and really tests your strengths as a singer; dancing, singing and now masks? It can be tricky! I really love all that we accomplish and the time we get to spend together as a group. These last two years in VCE have been such a treat and I am so honored I have been able to spend it with some of my closest friends!

CONNOR CURRAN ~ Tenor, Senior, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Academic Quiz Team, Student Council, Spring Musical “Once Upon a Mattress,” Lacrosse, Key Club. Favorite thing about VCE: Being a part of a group.

FRANCIS DONE ~ Tenor, Sophomore, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Track, Working at McDonalds Favorite thing about VCE: Just hanging out and doing what we love doing.


BRETT DOSS ~ Tenor, Senior, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, ACC tenor section leader, Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Performed in three spring musicals. Favorite thing about VCE: I really love being able to make music and have some fun while doing it.

GLORIA DUNLAP ~ Alto, Junior, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Track, Key Club’s Secretary, Junior Student Council, NHS, Lifeguard, Evendale’s Phi Lambda Pi Service Youth Group. Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing about VCE is the music we get to sing along with the people I get to sing with.

RAKIYAH ELIJAH ~ Soprano, Senior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, National Anthem Soloist, Senior Student Council. Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing about VCE is spending time with friends.

GABBY FISHEL ~ Soprano, Senior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, ACC soprano section leader, Spring Musicals: “Once Upon a Mattress” and “How to Succeed in Business,” Symphonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, National Honor Society, Volunteering in church worship. Favorite thing about VCE: I love how we can learn new skills with music. I also love how close we can be as a group and how we can see all of our hard work pay off in the end.


ALYSSA HARDMAN ~ Soprano, Senior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, National Anthem Soloist, Spring Musical (2 years) Key Club, Student Council, Tri-M Music Honor Society, National Honor Society, Varsity Tennis, Works at ChickFil-A. Favorite thing about VCE: I enjoy the smaller group of people, it's a lot easier to bond with everyone and become a small little singing and dancing family.

EMMA HINKLE ~ Alto, Senior, 2 Years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Varsity Tennis, Spring Musicals, National Honor Society, Key Club. Favorite thing about VCE: Dancing!

CONNER HOSKINS ~ Tenor, Junior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Chess Club, Men’s Varsity Lacrosse, MJROTC, Bowling Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing about VCE is the fun it is in the room and how we all can grow together.

LINCOLN HUGGINS ~ Bass, Sophomore, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Viking Voices Men’s Choir, Marching Band, Concert Band, Works at McDonalds Favorite thing about VCE: There are so many things to love about VCE but my favorite is becoming close with the people in the choir and making friends with people you wouldn’t have before. My second favorite thing is the choreography.


CORBAN HUTCHINS ~ Tenor, Senior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Symphonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Pit Orchestra. Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing about VCE is getting even closer with the people I perform with, that have the same interests as I do, and learning the music and choreography to perform with them.

CARTER LOGSDON ~ Bass, Senior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, ACC bass section leader, Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band Pride of Princeton Marching Band Drum Major, 12 productions with Princeton Performing Arts, Tri-M Music Honor Society, National Honor Society. Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing is the close and kind nature of the group, as well as the music we get to perform.

BRANDON RENGERING ~ Bass, Senior, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Pride of Princeton Marching Band Drum Major, Symphonic Band, Tri-M Music Honor Society President, National Honor Society, Soccer, Swimming Water Polo, Boy Scouts/Eagle Scout Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing about VCE is the opportunity to further my musical abilities in a fun way while being able to spend time with friends.

JON SCHINGLEDECKER ~ Tenor, Junior, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, PHS Baseball, works at Kroger. Favorite thing about VCE: I like the fun atmosphere we have in the class, and the fun we have singing outside of school.


JANIE SEALY ~ Alto, Senior, 2 years in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, ACC alto section leader, Spring Musicals “The Sound of Music,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Once Upon a Mattress,” Tennis, Student Council, Youth Band. Favorite thing about VCE: The chance to perform fun songs with fun people, I especially love the theater aspect that is involved in it.

RACHEL SHERWOOD ~ Soprano, Junior, 1 year in VCE Activities: Vocal Chamber Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Symphonic Orchestra, Secretary for Junior Class Council, National Honors Society, KHPC choir (Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church Choir) Favorite thing about VCE: My favorite thing about VCE is the bond that everyone has together. It's hard to have a place where you can feel completely comfortable but when VCE is together it is so easy to have a good time while still getting work done. VCE is something that I always look forward to going to!

CHOREOGRAPHER Karie-Lee Sutherland has worked professionally in the entertainment field for over 20 years. As a singer/dancer she toured the world performing for the DOD-USO and is a veteran of live shows at Kings Island. She has also worked for King’s Productions, where she wrote and directed touring shows for Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo, and the Flintstones. She was a Broadcast major at UC’s Conservatory of Music, and has received several Orchid awards, as well as a State Octafest Award for choreography. Karie-Lee has worked as an actor, director and choreographer for various theatre companies in the Cincinnati area, including Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, Showboat Majestic, LaComedia Dinner Theatre, and Educational Outreach Shows for Cincinnati’s Playhouse in the Park. Favorite stage roles include Morticia in The Addams Family, Tanya in Mamma Mia, Miss Sandra in All Shook Up, and Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray. She has attended the Broadway Teachers’ Workshop in NYC, where she took classes in dance, actor’s movement and direction with instructors from the Broadway productions of Newsies, War Horse, and Tony Award winning director John Rando, and is Part-Time Faculty at Miami University where she teaches Musical Theatre Dance. Karie-Lee is very proud to be a part of the CCM Preparatory Department Theatre Arts Division faculty.

The Princeton Music Boosters honor the memory of Joan Meier by naming one of their membership levels after her. She was a Princeton Music Teacher (1960-1995), Leader, Colleague, Advocate, Visionary, and Friend. She oversaw the development of the Princeton music program into one worthy of state and national recognition. Under her leadership Princeton music educators were empowered to develop superior programs, enabling many thousands of students to experience a comprehensive education in music. Fondly known as "Mother Meier,” choirs under her direction consistently received Superior ratings. Her service to the music profession was recognized in many ways throughout her career, including statewide office and receipt of the OMEA Distinguished Service Award. Her legacy of high achievement and commitment to music education remain an integral part of the education program in the Princeton City School District. ì Princeton Alumni
