The weather and free time activities

In French the children were given two activities to complete on our online learning platform, Seesaw.

The first task was a tracing activity where they had to find their way to the Eiffel Tower by tracing a line through the correct French words on the screen.

The second activity was a word order challenge where the children had to drag the words on the screen into the correct order, translating the English sentence on the screen. Siara achieved a very high level of accuracy in both activities and she was awarded a Mastery Junior da Vinci.

Isabel and Oore were outstanding at exploring the language used in their English learning all about different cultural festivals and received Mastery Junior da Vincis.

They commented on the use of adjectives and similes to help the reader imagine what it is really like to attend an Ice Festival in countries such as Canada, USA and Norway.

Earthquake News Reports

In Year 4 the children loved filming a news report about an earthquake in Geography.

Some children chose to be the anchorman from the studio, some were in the thick of it reporting from the actual scene. Pupils reported the devastation and advice to follow if you had been affected. ‘Drop, Cover and Hold On!’.
