Beginning in preschool and continuing through each grade level, the academic curriculum at Prince Avenue is intentionally taught through a Biblical worldview, emphasizing a lifelong pursuit of God and His truth
Prince Avenue faculty and staff actively encourage and disciple students throughout their educational journey. Weekly chapel services provide opportunities for worship and engagement with God’s Word, while Biblical integration is woven into every aspect of the curriculum, helping students develop a strong and enduring Christian worldview.
The pre-kindergarten curriculum establishes a solid foundation through Bible instruction, social and community awareness, fundamental mathematics, and early reading skills grounded in phonics and phonemic awareness. As students progress into kindergarten and continue through first through fifth grades, phonics-based reading instruction remains central and is expanded through increased exposure to quality literature and the development of independent reading skills Students’ spiritual growth is further strengthened as Bible is taught as an academic subject and supported by a comprehensive Scripture memorization program, reinforcing both knowledge and application of Biblical truth.
Science instruction in the lower grades is taught through an inquiry-based approach and aligns with the State of Georgia elementary science standards. Beginning in kindergarten and continuing through fifth grade, students receive instruction and participate in engaging, hands-on extension activities led by a dedicated lower school science teacher in a well-equipped lower school science lab.
The lower school curriculum also includes a variety of enrichment classes such as library, art, music, Spanish, physical education, and computer keyboarding Through the use of Interactive Flat Panels, iPads, and laptop computers, students develop essential 21st-century skills, enabling them to access a broad world of knowledge and engage in the interactive learning experiences that are central to education today.
