Simple & Sweet is one of the ways to describe the sexy Lady Nova. Lady Nova is original from Memphis Tennessee born September 15, 1976 been living in Jacksonville, Florida ever since. She attend Fort. Caroline Middle and Graduated from Terry Parker High Sch. in 1994. while attending Terry Parker she was modeling for Session on Arington Expressway in 1992. While modeling for Session for two years I learned how to walk the run way which was one of my favorites things of being a Model. I could never really enjoying wearing makeup (Because my father always told me makeup was for ugly women and clowns so that always stayed stuck in my head) So at the age of 39 i still dont wear makeup. But my dream of being a model came to a end I end up having my fisrt child so i had to put my dreams to the side. Well during my years of being a young mother I was going back and forth from my hometown to my Resident in Jacksonville. I went from being a bartender for sevrole years then became a school bus driver for 10 years to now working for JTA as a bus operator i have been working for JTA for about 4 years Now and i love it. i enjoy being in the spot light of the publics eye. Then one day i met this guy by the name of Jermaine Supa Jackson on facebook told me i had the face of a model. So one day i met him at the Jacksonville Landing for my first shoot i was very nerves because it had been so long since i took photo for modeling. But the ladies that was also there were very friendly and helpful and by the end of the photo shoot i was ready for the next session i enjoy working with Supa on my free time. This is just the beginning of my modeling career.

Hot Summers, Cold Soup Nina Moor, Executive Chef of Elysian Caters www.elysiancaters. com Sometimes You Don’t Want To Chew

Chilled Razberry Mint Soup

Chilled Raspberry-Mint Soup 3 baskets of raspberries 4 ounces of Chambord or razzberry liqueur (optional) 1 qt heavy cream 2 lemons (lemon zest and lemon juice) 8 mint leaves Salt – to taste ½ cup Powdered Sugar Blender or Vitamix Soup • Zest lemons and squeeze them and set aside.

• Put Chambord, raspber-

ries, ½ quart of heavy cream, 5 mint leaves, lemon zest and lemon juice in the blender.

• Blend until extremely smooth.

• Strain mixture into a clean metal bowl. Raspberries have tons of seeds and you don’t want the bitterness from them in the soup.

• Adjust your seasonings and thickness of the soup with the heavy cream and salt.

• Refrigerate Whipped Cream

• Pour remaining heavy cream, ½ cup powdered sugar in a mixing bowl and beat until soft peaks form.

• Place in a piping bag and refrigerate. If you don’t have a piping bag, grab a trusty Ziploc bag.

Serve I would probably serve this in a chilled wine or martini glass. Pipe some whipped cream in the center.

Place two mint leaves on top.

I love soup. I mean it can calm anyone down. I have eaten soup and felt in in my bones. There are some really good soups out there. But we live in Florida, where is to hot all of the time. As of right now we are having record summer heats. But I want soup, lol. It’s no laughing matter. Just the thought of a nice blend of romantic flavors to entice the pallet makes life worth living – and almost drinking through a straw. So I decided to go on a scavenger hunt.

Thank Goodness I live in Florida, where we have some of the best fruit in season right now – hands down. The Farmer’s Market and every Winn Dixie, Publix and now Sav-A-Lot has some amazing fruit.

So instead of turning on my stove and taking hours making a beautiful hot soup that no one will eat anyway because it is 98 degrees outside, why not try a cold soup. Now no one really knows when the cold soup originated. There are some wonderful Gazpacho’s, Salmorejo’s and Watermelon Soups out there.

Music & It's Effects On Clothing Styles Musicians have always served as pop culture icons. Whether it is a conscious choice or a subconscious phenomenon, people tend to emulate the dress of musicians in the genres that they favor. Back in the 1980s, bright, neon clothing styles were heavily influenced by glam-rock bands popular at the time, such as Motley Crue and Aerosmith. More recently, people are styling themselves in a similar fashion to popular hip hop stars. However, every music genre inspires a certain style.

Country music listeners tend to keep their style simple. Usually they sport tight jeans and cowboy boots. Tucked-in flannel shirts are a popular choice. They also wear leather belts with large metal buckles. In true Southern form, the most popular type of hat for this genre of music is a standard cowboy hat.

Those influenced by rap music typically wear extra-large T-shirts with a white undershirt. Rap connoisseurs sport baggy jeans and athletic shoes, either basketball shoes or skating shoes. Rap fans tend to represent sport-related themes on their T-shirts, or just go with popular brand names. Rap music followers usually sport fitted baseball hats and leave the sticker on the bill with no flex. Rappers like to flaunt their bling, aka jewelry, as well.

People who listen to metal will typically wear a lot of black. Their T-shirts usually have a name of a metal band on it and their style is slightly worn. Hardcore metal fans wear tight jeans and tight shirts. They often have assorted piercings as well. When it

comes to shoes, skateboarding ones are the primary choice, although many metal-heads wear black boots.

Emo kids normally wear very tight jeans and small black shirts. They like to sport hooded sweatshirts, or hoodies, and wear beanies underneath. There is not a cookie-cutter style for fans of every music genre, but subcategories in music have undoubtedly produced consistent looks that are undeniable, especially if the style worn by the crowds outside of gigs are analyzed. Anyway, I’m going out tonight with this guy Jeremy. He’s a super fox! I met him at the printer store while running errands earlier this week. To be honest, I can barely remember what we talked about. Here we are standing at the counter, just staring into each other’s eyes, and the poor guy working there had to literally prod Jeremy from across the counter just to get his attention. We may not have even been talking at that

point. I’m not sure. All I can tell you is that he thanked me for a wonderful conversation and walked out of the door. I’m not desperate, so I didn’t run after him. I finished my business in the store and was headed to my car, nearly 10 minutes later, and here is Jeremy finally arriving at his car, which is conveniently parked in the very front row of the store. He asked to take me to dinner; I accepted. So here we are at a fancy restaurant and he’s gaining major points with me so far. Jeremy has shown up on time. He’s dressed perfectly for the occasion in a baby blue button-up with grey slacks and vest. Most importantly, he oozes gentlemanly behavior. He’s opened every door and pulled out my chair. And you won’t believe it, but he took my order in advance to relay to the waiter. He ordered for me! It was sweet because men don’t do that anymore…at least not while being considerate enough to ASK what “the little lady” might want to eat.

Jeremy and I had a great time! We laughed and talked all through dinner.

He seems like he’s really got his stuff together. While Jeremy and I are walking back to the car after having a great time, he opens the car door at the same time that he attempts to kiss me! I’m not opposed to kissing on the first date, but he basically missed my face and got a mouthful of hair instead. I adjust myself in my seat and pull Jeremy down to me. I look into his eyes and he goes in for the kiss. Success! Well, kind of. We kissed, but it was HORRIBLE! There were no fireworks, no sparks, hell, he barely had technique! Not a great sign. Jeremy stepped away from the passenger seat feeling confident only to reveal, BRAD my ex, sitting in the parking lot smoking a cigarette. BRAD and I locked eyes briefly before we drove away, but I knew I would be seeing BRAD later that night…

Cedrick Turner, who is also known as CLT moved to Jacksonville,FL. from Waycross,Ga. in 1980.

Around the age of fourteen he took an interest in barbering and started cutting hair on his parents front porch. Once he graduated from Jean Ribault High School at the age of sixteen, he pursued a career in music in Orlando,FL. After ten years in the industry as a singer, songwriter, and producer, he decided to put his focus into finding other ways to make money. Because of his knowledge in music he worked as a sound man for numerous concerts and shows within the city, all the while never losing his love and passion for cutting hair. His vision was to eventually own his own barbershop and salon. So after graduating from cosmetology school in 2013 he stopped cutting hair at home and started in Bueshe Styles on Moncrief Rd not too far from his alma mater Ribault HIgh. After two years of working in Bueshe Styles he was able to take over as owner and totally reinvent the business by adding many different amenities for customers to enjoy while they wait. As owner and master barber of his very first barber shop within the very community where he grew up, he strives to provide great energy, prompt service, and community service!
