The 911 underground Museum is now open. The museum is divided into two parts, one dedicated to remembering the 2983 people who died at the site and the other devoted to the event’s history. Visitors will see artifacts such as the steel “tridents” that anchored the towers, the preserved “survivors staircase”, the last steel column removed from the site after a nine month cleanup and tributes to those who died in the attack. There is also another trident from the towers used as a screen for a film featuring testimony from recovery workers. Those who have seen this say it is like “the steel is telling you a story.” Late luncheon at one of our favorite restaurants.
