KR 4217 (FB17727) 4217 is a long bodied cow with a beautiful udder, and she is an outstanding donor as well. She is a daughter of Kitateruyasudoi J2810 and her dam is a Bar R 12P daughter from Lone Mountain, thus packing her pedigree with performance. She sells with a bull calf at side that is true herd bull quality.
RGR H473 (Australian Assn # RGRFRH473) This daughter of Mayura L0010 is one of the first born L10’s in the US, and she has the look, and performance that we all anticipated. The bottom side of this young female’s pedigree is equally as impressive featuring Itomoritaka J2703 combined with TF 148. Prepare your donor pen for this one and three full sisters that sell.

KR127 (FB12886) If you are looking for foundation Wagyu genetics, do not miss this direct daughter of Mazda. She is a big ribbed, powerfully made cow that has solid muscle shape down her top and carries it deep into her quarter. This proven donor has produced 18 progeny for Kay Ranch.

REITER’S BLOCK County Fair Season Let’s hear it for the county fair! The uniquely American tradition that is responsible for so many great things and people in our industry. Countless memories and important traditions begin and continue at county fairs all across the USA this time of year; too many to count really. The county fair is where our next leaders get their starts- even though many of them downplay their local successes later – and earn their bona fides; it’s like Basic Training for stockmen and it is essential to their development. The county fairs are back in full this year and it’s great to see; maybe last year worked to remind us of just how important local fairs are and why it’s essential to support them. They may seem like small potatoes to the “big shots”, but those who know, know that our premium livestock business would not exist without them. So, three cheers for the county fairs…long may they give us an annual meeting spot for joy, leadership, learning, drama, tradition, and so much darn fun.
The Up Cycle Are you watching the markets? Are you getting ready? The business of owning cattle is getting really good lately and it’s about to hit a stretch run of some really profitable times. I am no economist but it doesn’t take a PhD to figure out that things like total cattle population, cattle on feed, harvest capacity, and customer demand are aligning in such a way that there just will not be enough to go around before long; the signs are everywhere. Now you can’t say I didn’t warn you in 2012 before the boom times of 2014-2016 happened (it was a regular part of my opening speech at auctions) and I am putting it in writing this time to get it on record. You can remind me later if I was wrong; but I won’t be. Enjoy the summer. Go to the fair.

BLB 45E (FB27566) 45E has a rare combination of look, balance and a packed pedigree. She is a stout, deep bodied cow with a flawless structure and perfect udder. She is sired by TF Itomichi 1/2 and out of a daughter of JVP Kikuyasu-400.
