Ohhh, look what I just found, another Lute daughter in the weeds! She is ultra-feminine fronted with excessive rib and flank and super hair! She just might make a show heifer for an enthusiastic junior. A full sister sold in 2015 to Bruhn Angus in Iowa for $20,000.00. Another ¾ sister sold to Halley Adams (Ter-Ron) for $21,500.00 in the Angus Collection Sale. Tibbie 282D is one of the younger females in the offering, but she doesn’t give anything up in regards to performance. Refer to the footnotes on Pleasant Valley Lute in the front of our catalogue to get the full picture of Lute’s history, more details of the sales of his progeny and his pedigree.

As I get to some of the last footnotes on these heifers, I find myself getting very repetitive (and boring), but the heifers are simply very similar in their makeup. Not a bad thing, right! Rose 286D is another younger March heifer that has plenty of potential. Her dam, 62Y is an Elite Dam as designated by the CAA with four calves posting a ratio of 108 and her grand dam is also an Elite Cow with 9 calves at 106. 62Y is a cow with a tad more frame, a great footed cow with a perfect udder. 286D has maternal sibs in Byemoor Farming Co., a bull for $6250.00, and another bull to Jenkins Lazy U for $7000.00 and a heifer to Sunderland Ranch. Our first Reflection females are milking, and have truly turned out as we had hoped. Young cows with plenty of middle, easy fleshing and beautiful udders. Note the reference sire pages for more detailed information on Reflection.

Mistress 287D is very closely related to the Feature Heifer, 154D, on the bottom side of the pedigree. This heifer is the second youngest heifer in the sale, but she is very complete. Her dam, Mistress 11A brought $10,000.00 as a calf, purchased by Continental Angus and a maternal brother sold to Brandon Schweigert of ND for $9000.00. The Mistress cow family is known for their calving ease and combine this with Fireman who is known for his growth and performance, the combination should be ideal. The great grand dam, Mistress 6M is designated as an Elite Dam by the CAA and one of the top producers in our books at Hamilton Farms. This female could be considered for a junior project for some enthusiast out there. Don’t cut her short because of her age, she will continue to blossom with time.
