The Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations of the year, and we have many employees who recognize the holiday!
Employees in our Baltimore and Columbus offices celebrated with a traditional lunch to usher in a prosperous and auspicious year. The team decorated with red and gold Chinese New Year decorations- lanterns, zodiac cut outs and placemats to drive bad luck away and offered an array of customary foods, including dumpling/ spring rolls – to symbolize wealth and prosperity, noodles – to signify a long life, and rice – to represent togetherness. Taking the time to learn more about our colleagues and their cultural backgrounds is a great way to build an inclusive workplace and environment.
PRIME AE joined in on the fun at the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Mid-Atlantic Small Business Outreach and Industry Day!
Hosted in Virginia Beach, VA, our federal programs team enjoyed networking with new and old friends, participating in matchmaking for teaming opportunities, and attending agency briefings.
There's only one day a year when people actually want to see commercials on TV and eating an entire tray of buffalo chicken dip counts as dinner: Super Bowl Sunday! A few of our offices held a Jersey Day / Pre-Super Bowl Parties.
Paired with some friendly competition, team members came together for not only a chili-cookoff, but also their heartiest soups and tastiest appetizer recipes. Some had the chance to win a prize while others couldn't take the heat. Thank you to all who participated, it's always a good day when you can step away from your desk to enjoy some food and fun!
It's been a jam-packed January and February full of career fairs and campus visits. Our team members have been busy discussing career and internship opportunities with students at Kent State University, Syracuse University, University of Maryland College Park, Mississippi State University, Virginia Tech, Penn State University, and University of Pittsburgh.
PRIME AE joined in on National Wear Red Day throughout our offices.
On this day in February, which is during American Heart Month, we are helping to raise and spread awareness to help stop heart disease and strokes in millions of women all over the world. PRIME AE employees enjoyed a heart healthy breakfast and donned their reddest red lipstick, shoes, and shirts. We stand together to encourage others to take preventative actions for heart health!
We are the winners of this year's coveted Rose Cup trophy at the 2023 MdQi Pinewood Derby Race. This is an annual competition that is part of the Maryland Quality Initiative (MdQi) conference in Baltimore, MD.
This year’s race featured a field of 26 participants from engineering companies across Maryland. After eight close races with many close battles, we knew this was our year to win! Modeled after the Ferrari F8 Tributo Geneva, Structural Engineer Chandra Mallina has been working day and night over the past month to get the design, weight, paint, and logo just right. Congrats Chandra and thank you for all your time and effort to bring this one home.
Have you ever wandered what
would be like to jump into the Chesapeake Bay in 20-degree weather?
Vice President of Maryland Architecture and Engineering Jeffery Jerrels and Senior Project Manager Paulina Beeche did just this two weeks ago along with over 4,000 others to support the Special Olympics Maryland. This Maryland tradition raises money to help lead the charge for the inclusion of family, friends, and neighbors with intellectual disabilities. Congrats to Jeffery and Paulina for braving the icy waters for such a notable cause. Check out the video here.
