Open Evening

On 24 September, the Our Lady’s website went live for our first ever Virtual Open Evening. In previous years we have been able to welcome children and their families to the school for an Open Evening in person, but this year parents had the opportunity to book a tour that was given by our fantastic Senior Leadership Team. As well as this, Miss Morgan prepared a virtual tour through our school that was available for children and their families to access and interact with.

The interactive map featured videos, photos and information about all subjects that we offer here at the school, as well as the extracurricular activities that we usually facilitate and all other opportunities and support that children can access during their time here at Our Lady’s. Staff and students worked together to create informative videos about each subject, complete with examples of the facilities we have here at the school. Over in science, year 11 students demonstrated amazing electricity and chemistry experiments and some snippets of a few drama performances could also be seen over in Expressive Arts. The Virtual Tour also included a welcome from our Head Teacher, Mr Ormsby, who answered many questions that parents usually have when it comes to picking a school for their child’s secondary education. The Virtual Tour will be available all year round through our website for parents and families to access if they would like to see what Our Lady’s has to offer.
