Busy Bees at the Hive Project!

Our students recently participated in a Hive project at the Manchester Youth Zone in Harpurhey. The students were given the chance to hear from inspirational speakers and have a go at activities linked to built environment, healthcare, digital and enterprise. The Youth Zone provided a demonstration of their 3D printer which the students found very interesting. They also had the chance to visits stall from Big People Community who demonstrated how using fruit can power a laptop, Buzzing Sounds led a vocal engineering workshop and our neighbours North Ridge High School had a stall selling items their students had made as part of the Gift Company. The event exposed the students to an array of careers, some of which they may not have known existed.
