Congratulations on the purchase of your Motormend Warranty Policy.

This document forms the basis of the contract that you have entered into and it is your responsibility to make sure that you read, understand and be comfortable with the contents of this policy to enjoy the maximum benefit of the product. The policy does not cover every event, so it is important that you understand what cover is provided and will be covered.

1. Definitions The table below provides the definitions of the terminology used throughout the Policy: “You/your”:

The person whose name and address appears on the proposal form or dealer schedule.

“Insurer”:

Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited (Registration No. 1992/001639/06).

“Administrator”:

Innovation FSP (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 1997/005662/07). Innovation FSP is a licensed Financial Services Provider for the purposes of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002.

“Your Vehicle”:

The vehicle as specified in the proposal form or dealer schedule.

“Mechanical Breakdown”:

The sudden or unexpected failure of a component which is covered by the policy and which required immediate repair or replacement. Wear and tear or normal deterioration is not covered under the definition of mechanical or electrical failure.

“Cost of Repair”:

The usual and reasonable charges for components and/or labour required to repair or replace the damaged components.

“Insured”:

The owner of the vehicle at the time of purchase of your Policy, or in the instance where the Policy has been transferred in terms of your Policy, the new owner of the vehicle.

“Authorised Dealer”:

An Authorised Repairing Dealer registered as such with Innovation Group’s Approved Panel.

“Manufacturer”:

The entity who manufactured / supplied the vehicle as specified on the proposal form or dealer schedule.

“Extended Warranty”:

The Warranty which your vehicle will qualify for if it still has a valid Manufacturer’s Warranty or Maintenance Plan in place.

“Pre-Owned Warranty”:

The Warranty which your vehicle will qualify for if it is outside of the Manufacturer’s Warranty or Maintenance Plan.

“Cooling Off Period”:

The cooling off period of 30 days – please refer to the “Policy Amendments And Cancellations” section.

“Services Violation”:

Any two services that were missed or late by either time or mileage lapsing on the vehicle as per the Manufacturer’s specified intervals, while the vehicle is still within the Manufacturer’s Warranty cover.

2. What we pay for The reasonable “cost of repair” and/or replacement of “Components Covered” including labour and any associated outwork required as a result of “a sudden and unforeseen and unexpected Mechanical or Electrical Failure or breakdown” occurring during the validity of this insurance and subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions set out below.

3. Eligible Vehicles A passenger and light commercial vehicle with a gross vehicle mass not exceeding 3, 500kg, in a roadworthy condition, and identified in the accepted proposal.

5. Maximum Cover Limits Your Policy covers you for the repair and/or replacement of components, specifically listed below, arising from the mechanical and/or electrical failure during the period of cover of your Policy and is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions set out herein.

All repair work must be authorised in advance and must be carried out by the Authorised Dealer as recommended by the Administrator in the “Claim Procedure” section.

6. Claim Limits (including VAT) The maximum amount payable per claimable occurrence for each item is clearly reflected above. Any number of failures that occur or are reported simultaneously will be treated as one claim. In this instance the liability will not exceed the amount of the major component benefit.

The individual claim limit that applies to your Policy is clearly stipulated above. The total claim aggregate shall not exceed the current trade value of your vehicle.

7. Components Covered Engine:

All lubricated components.

Gearbox:

(Manual / Automatic) All lubricated components (including torque converter, flex plate and transmission sensors).

Differential:

All lubricated components and diff actuators / sensors (internal and external).

Differential Lock:

All internal components and actuators / sensors (internal and external).

Catalytic Converter/DPF (Diesel):

Catalytic Converter only, DPF Diesel Particulate Filter are covered against mechanical failure only.

Transaxle:

All lubricated components and actuators / sensors.

Transfer Box:

All internal components and actuators / sensors.

Management System:

Engine, VV T motor, transmission and body control management units, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor and lambda (O2) sensor only.

Turbo Assembly:

Original Manufacturer fitted turbo charger, intercooler, superchargers and boost control valve only. Also known as waste gate valve.

Overfueling:

Failure as a result of overfueling.

Overheating:

Breakdown as a result of overheating.

Cambelt Failure:

Cambelt and tensioner (excluding routine maintenance or wear and tear).

Air Conditioner:

Compressor and condenser only. Will re-gas in the event of a major component failure.

Casings:

Engine block, cylinder head, gearbox, differential, drive unit, inlet and exhaust manifolds are covered.

Cooling System:

Water pump, welsh plugs, thermostat, thermo-switch, heater radiator and gearbox, engine oil cooler and auxiliary water pump.

Electronic Ignition:

Distributor and coil packs.

Front Wheel Drive Unit:

External driveshaftâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s, couplings, hubs, bearings and drive flanges for 4x4 vehicles only.

EGR Valve and EGR Cooler:

EGR Valve and Cooler only.

Braking System:

Master cylinder, servo unit, wheel cylinders and ABS control unit, all sensors, park brake actuators, electronic, handbrake actuator and vacuum pump (excluding all friction materials).

Clutch:

Clutch plate, pressure plate, clutch cable, clutch fork, master and slave cylinder, re-lease bearing, pilot bearing and flywheel are covered against mechanical failure only.

CV Joints and Driveshaft:

Including dust covers and velocity joints.

Cylinder Head Gaskets:

Cylinder Head Gasket only.

Drive Mechanisms:

Crankshaft, camshaft, tensioners, and jockey pulleys are covered in the event of mechanical failure.

Electrical Components:

Alternator, starter motor, front and rear windscreen wiper motors, start switch and window mechanisms (electrical and manual), electric seat motors.

Electrical Winch:

Electric motor only (applicable to 4x4 vehicles only).

Free Wheel Hubs:

Complete unit and 4x4 actuator (applicable to 4x4 vehicles only).

Fuel System:

Mechanical and electrical fuel pumps, injectors, fuel injection control, sensor units, intake manifold flap motor, throttle body (Separate TPS Unit) and fuel flap actuators integration relay (excluding all calibration and serviceable components and any incorrect or contaminated fuel).

Propshaft:

U-joints and centre bearings (including balancing).

Radiator:

Engine cooling radiator only.

Steering Mechanism:

All internal components of steering box, steering rack and power steering pump, column shaft, bearings joints, steering lock and sensors.

Suspension:

Upper and lower wishbones with associated ball joints, steering links, bushes, springs, pneumatic air suspension / shocks, air suspension pump, compressor and sensors are covered against mechanical failure.

Wheel Bearings:

All wheel bearings are covered.

Central Locking:

Pump and door actuator only.

Electrical Sunroof Motor: Original Manufacturer fitted units only.

Entertainment System/ DVD:

LCD screen (10' or less) RF modulator, digital video disc player, compact disc player and power converter (applicable only to original Manufacturer fitted units).

Viscous and Electric Fans:

Engine cooling only.

GPS Navigation System:

Navigation display unit, navigation control module and navigation system wiring harness (applicable only to factory fitted units).

Phone System:

Charger, cradle, microphone and speakers (applicable only to original Manufacturer fitted units).

Alarms and Immobilisers:

Original Manufacturer fitted units only.

Electrical Mirrors:

Motor only.

Transponder Key and Ignition Lock:

Original Manufacturer fitted unit only and functional failure only.

Instalment Payment Protection:

Should repairs be delayed for 14 days or more, including public holidays and weekends, from the date of claim authorisation, as a result of parts not being available, the Administrator will reimburse you up to the amount specified in the “Maximum Cover Limits” section.

Insurance Excess:

Where the vehicle is a total loss and the excess cannot be recovered under another policy, up to the amount specified in the “Maximum Cover Limits” section will be reimbursed.

Overnight Accommodation:

Hotel Accommodation is covered if breakdown occurs in excess of 300 km's from your place of residence (in the event of a valid claim being accepted by the Administrator).

Towing Charges:

Towing charges covered in the event of a valid claim being accepted by the Administrator (only applicable if Roadside Assistance benefit has not been chosen).

Strip & Quote:

Refer to the Strip & Quote clause.

Oils and Consumables:

This includes small parts or fluids with a limited life span (for more clarification on what is covered please contact the Claims Centre). These parts will only be replaced in the event of mechanical and/or electrical breakdown covered by your Policy which results in a loss of the consumables.

Additional Component Cover:

Once off payment up to the amount specified in the “Maximum Cover Limits” section, to cover any motor vehicle related item or any standard services that is not covered by your Policy.

8. Exclusions It is important to note, that not everything or all events are covered by the Motormend Warranty. Below is a summary of what is not covered under your Policy.

1. Any parts not specified under the “Components Covered” section; 2. Wear and Tear: PLEASE NOTE: It is important to note that it is not the intention of your Policy to pay for normal wear and tear. Components which wear as part of their function will not be covered or you will be required to make a contribution to the cost of repair commensurate with the level of wear and tear in the component. Such excluded components include but are not limited to differentials, suspension, wheel bearings, CV joints, clutches, drive pulleys, brake pads, brake linings, tyres, etc; 3. Any repairs undertaken without the prior authorisation of the Administrator; 4. Any damage caused by theft, hi-jacking, an accident, misuse or neglect; 5. Any damage resulting from the fitting of experimental units or modifications, other than those approved by the vehicles original Manufacturer; 6. Any standard services and service parts required during routine maintenance; 7. Any repairs, should it be discovered that the odometer has been disconnected or tampered with; 8. Any gradual reduction in operating performance commensurate with the age and kilometres covered by the vehicle; 9. Any claims for repair, replacement or alterations not accompanied by a valid, fully completed and detailed VAT invoice; 10. Any mechanical and/or electrical failure which is recoverable under any other insurance policy; 11. Any loss or damage resulting from any water, foreign substances, incorrect or contaminated fuel, defective products or poor workmanship; 12. Any cause of breakdown, in the opinion of the Administrator acting on behalf of the Insurer that was evident prior to the effective date of your Policy; 13. Any oil leaks of any nature and/or damage caused as a result thereof; 14. Any hoses, pipes, auxiliary belts, fan blades and CV rubber boots; 15. Any re-gassing of the air conditioner; 16. Any taxi’s, rental vehicles, rebuilt vehicles (Code 3), modified vehicles or vehicles that are or have been used in any form of motoring competition or sport; 17. Where the cause of failure existed at the time of sale of your Policy.

9. Terms and Conditions 1. Upon receipt of a fully completed inspection form, proposal form and the required premium, the Insurer will accept the risk subject to your vehicle complying with the terms and conditions of your Policy. The Insurer however, reserves the right to decline this insurance, which will be done within 30 days of your Policy purchase date. A full refund of the premium will be made.

2. These terms and conditions shall also incorporate, the entire content of your Policy, which is deemed to have been read and understood by you.

3. It is agreed and declared that the Administrator, acting on behalf of the Insurer, will be released from all liability and obligations under your Policy if the terms and conditions of your Policy are not fully complied with.

4. All claims must be reported to the Administrator immediately. In the event of a breakdown after hours, over a weekend or a public holiday the claim must be reported to the Administrator on the next working day. Failure to do so may invalidate the claim.

5. Where the repair requires new or exchange units, which in the opinion of the Administrator are in excess of what is necessary to repair the vehicle to the Manufacturer’s specifications, you will be liable for these additional costs. 6. All claims documentation must be received by the Administrator within 30 days of the date of completion of the repairs; otherwise they will not be accepted.

7. Your Policy will be cancelled for excessive claims within your Policy duration.

8. Your vehicle must be serviced and maintained according to the vehicle Manufacturer’s specification at an Authorised Dealer.

8.1. A maximum tolerance as per Manufacturer’s specification will be allowed.

8.2. After each service, the appropriate service record must be completed. Service receipts must be kept as proof of service, as this may be requested in the event of a claim.

8.3. Failure to comply with the above can invalidate your Policy.

9. On purchasing your Policy, should it become apparent that the last scheduled service was not complied with, you have 30 days in which to service your vehicle as part of your Policy’s terms and conditions.

10. Your Policy is in addition to, and does not detract from, any contractual rights under Statute or Common Law. 11. You must take all reasonable steps to maintain your vehicle and keep it in a proper and efficient state of repair and in the event of any mechanical and/or electrical failure you must use all reasonable means to protect the vehicle from further loss or damage.

12. In no case whatsoever will the Administrator, acting on behalf of the Insurer, be liable to make any payment in respect of any mechanical and/or electrical failure after the expiration of 6 months from the occurrence of mechanical and/or electrical failure.

13. It is your responsibility to ensure that, in the case of diesel vehicles, the diesel pump is calibrated as per Manufacturer’s specifications. A failure resulting from incorrect calibration will result in rejection of the claim.

14. All signed repair invoices must be submitted to the Administrator.

15. Any Wear & Tear items can be claimed as per the limits under the “Additional Components Cover” in the “Maximum Cover Limits” section.

10. Premium Payment Your premium is payable in advance, either in cash or to be included in the finance agreement, as concluded with your financial institution. The benefits will not apply until such time as the amount payable is received by the Administrator or the Insurer. If no payment is received for your Policy there will be no cover and your Policy will be cancelled.

11. Policy Amendments and Cancellations You are entitled to cancel your Policy at any time by giving the Administrator 30 days’ written notice.

The Administrator, acting on behalf of the Insurer, is entitled to amend the terms and conditions or cancel your Policy by giving you 30 days’ written notice, via e-mail, fax or post to the last known address.

In the event that you cancel your Policy, the following conditions will apply to premium refunds: • If you cancel your Policy before your vehicle goes on risk, a cancellation fee of R 150 will be deducted from the refund.

• If a claim has been paid under your Policy there will be no refund due.

• If a refund is due, all costs incurred, including commissions and underwriting fees will be deducted. The balance will be refunded on a pro-rata basis and payment will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation request date.

• If your Policy has been financed by a financial institution or forms part of a suspensive sale agreement, the refund will be paid to the financing institution.

12. Jurisdiction, Currency and Disputes Your Policy is valid only within the territorial limits of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Swaziland. All payments will be made in the currency of South Africa. Your Policy will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa whose courts will have jurisdiction in any dispute arising under your Policy.

13. Fraud Should you or anyone acting on your behalf, knowingly or otherwise, commit a fraudulent act or attempt to obtain a benefit under your Policy by improper means, all benefits will immediately cease and your Policy will be cancelled. There will be no refund of any kind.

14. Transferability In the event that you sell your vehicle, your Policy may be transferred to the subsequent owner, provided your Policy is still valid with an updated service history. This request must be submitted in writing (including the new owner’s information) to the Administrator, subject to approval. Your Policy may not be transferred from one vehicle to another.

15. Claim Procedure In the event of a mechanical and/or electrical failure which is likely to result in a claim, you must inform the Administrator telephonically on the numbers provided.

All repair work must be authorised in advance by the Administrator and must be carried out by an Authorised Dealer.

The Administrator will recommend Authorised Dealers in your area who have conformed to the stringent requirements of the Administrator’s quality approved panel and you may choose the Authorised Dealer.

Failure to obtain prior authorisation before repair work has been completed will invalidate your claim.

Information necessary when reporting a claim: • Owner’s name; • Policy number; • Current odometer reading on your vehicle; • Nature of mechanical failure / breakdown (failure, cause, remedy); • Address where vehicle can be inspected; • Service records and/or invoices.

The Administrator reserves the right to inspect your vehicle or failure before authorisation is given.

After the work has been completed by the Authorised Dealer, you must inspect the vehicle to ensure that the service work is satisfactory and complete in all respects.

Please ensure that the Authorised Dealer submits all repair invoice(s) signed by you, to the Administrator via e-mail, fax or post within 30 days after the repairs are completed, failing which the claim will not be considered.

Should your claim be rejected, you are entitled to receive a full explanation from the Administrator.

16. Strip and Quote Should it be necessary to disassemble any component to establish the cause or extent of the damage, it is your responsibility to authorise the disassembly so as to establish whether there is any liability under your Policy.

Where it is the Engine, Gearbox, Cylinder Head, Clutch or Differential that has to be stripped to determine the cause of damage and it is found that the failure is not covered under the “Components Covered”, the cost for disassembly to determine the cause of failure will be covered by your Policy up to the amount set out in the “Maximum Cover Limits” table under the “Strip & Quote” benefit.

Any other component that has to be stripped to determine the cause of failure and any amount over the set amount in the “Maximum Cover Limits” table under the “Strip & Quote” benefit would be for your own account.

17. Inclusive Benefits 17.1 Innovation Vehicle Rental Service provided The Vehicle Rental option offers a convenient 2 day car rental in the event of a mechanical repair, as a result of failure, as stipulated in your Policy schedule.

• For maximum convenience, the Administrator will arrange for the rental vehicle to be delivered to, and collected from the Authorised Dealer after the rental period has expired. (Please refer to the Customer Obligations below).

• The vehicle rental period would be for the maximum of 2 days from the time the car is picked up from the Authorised Dealer to when it is dropped off.

• Cash or Credit cards are accepted as a form of payment. You must produce your credit card and a PreAuthorisation amount will be blocked on the credit card for fuel deposit, contract fees and in the event of an accident, the insurance excesses or fines and additional rental days. The additional amount will be collected from your credit card.

Customer obligations Rental vehicles need to be booked through 0860 00 9111 You are obligated to adhere to the following terms and conditions when utilising the Vehicle Rental option: 1. The Vehicle Rental is for a maximum period of 2 days, on condition that a valid Policy and/or claim is in place.

2. Your Policy will only cover group “B” vehicles, if you upgrade the class of the vehicle the difference in cost will be for your own account.

3. Any vehicle rental costs beyond the 2 day rental period specified in your Policy will be borne by you.

4. The Vehicle Rental Benefit Terms and Conditions are between yourself and the Rental Company and form part of the standard agreement signed directly with them.

18. Optional Benefits 18.1 RoadCover RoadCover membership ensures that victims of motor vehicle accidents have immediate access to an effective Road Accident Fund (RAF) claims management system with NO costs to themselves.

Service In the event of a motor vehicle accident in which you are injured, your membership entitles you to the following: • Personalised Legal representation; • Administration and claims management; • Accident reconstruction; • Required medico-legal reports; • Required actuarial reports; • Past and future loss of earnings reports; and • Past and future loss of support reports.

Who is entitled to claim?

• Any person who was personally injured (except a driver who was the sole cause of the accident); • Any dependent of a deceased victim; • Any close relative of the deceased in respect of funeral expenses; or • Any claimant under the age of 18 must be assisted by a parent of legal guardian.

What you could claim for?

• Past and future hospital and medical expenses; • Past and future loss of income or earnings; • Past and future loss of support for the dependent of a deceased victim; • General damages for pain, suffering and disfigurement in the case of bodily injury; and • Funeral expenses - Actual costs related to cremation or internment.

Procedures for Service: 1. Phone RoadCover 0860 726 837 during office hours (8:30 to 16:30) and give the particulars of your case; 2. You will be given a case number and referred to a RoadCover legal practitioner for an assessment; 3. Based on the RoadCover practitioner’s advice, RoadCover will arrange all the necessary consultations and opinions you require for your claim. This may include additional legal consultations and reports, medico-legal opinions, medico-legal reports and actuarial opinions for loss of earnings, consequent to your injuries; 4. RoadCover will assist you with all the necessary administrative requirements and the preparation of the documents that would be needed to submit your claim; 5. An assessment of your medical expenses incurred as a direct result of your injury will be conducted to ensure a balanced and fair medical claim; 6. Your claim will then be finalised and collated, and with your permission, presented on your behalf to the RAF for consideration and settlement; 7. Service Limitations 1. RoadCover will limit its service where the assessor does not substantiate the merits of the case. If this is in conflict with the view of the clients or there is a material conflict between your assessment and that of the RoadCover assessors, the case will be referred to the RoadCover advisory panel for review; 2. Any costs incurred by a member, being approached by an outside party without written consent of RoadCover, will not be for RoadCover’s account; 3. You are free to receive advice from sources other than RoadCover. However, the cost of these external sources will not be covered by RoadCover, unless prior approval has been obtained in writing from RoadCover; 4. You are not obliged to use the services of RoadCover. In the event that you use another party other than RoadCover, RoadCover will not be liable for any costs incurred; 5. The RoadCover service is only available for accidents that occur in South Africa; 6. If your membership fees are not up to date at the time of the motor vehicle accident, RoadCover will not be liable to proceed with your claim; 7. If you did not comply with all laws governing the RAF at the time of the accident, RoadCover will not process your claim; 8. RoadCover does not guarantee the performance you receive from the RAF.

18.2 RoadCover Plus RoadCover Plus, includes access to the primary RoadCover benefit as well as Pothole Cover.

Pothole Cover Service The Pothole Cover membership covers all the costs of lodging a claim against the Roads Authorities. At the end of the claim period, individuals receive 100% of the payment made by the Road Authorities, with no hidden deductions. In addition, Pothole Cover undertakes to do all administrative management of the claim from start to finish.

For the duration of the claim, you receive: • Complete management of the claims process to obtain maximum possible compensation for tyres, wheel rims and mags damaged as a result of potholes (or road works) in SA; • No limit on recovery i.e. recovery is for full Tyre and not just unused Tyre portion; • No excess payable; • Hassle free claims administration; • Pothole Cover was set up to serve the need around the massive pothole problem on the South African Roads, by alleviating the financial burden to drivers. Pothole Cover assists people in recovering the monies that they have paid out as a result of pothole damages to their tyres. These recoveries are made from the relevant Roads Authorities nationwide.

• Dedicated full telephonic claim registration and Tyre assessment services; • Quick and effective service without any fuss or inconvenience to members; • Proactive follow-ups to make sure potholes are repaired to prevent future incidents.

Claims Procedure • Phone Pothole Cover on 0860 726 837 within 5 (five) working days of the incident during office hours and register your claim. Your membership number will be verified. You will be given a claim number and your claim will be assessed; • After the assessment you will be informed by a Pothole Cover Consultant of the merits of your claims and a view will be given as to the worth of proceeding with the claim;

• If you wish us to proceed with the claim (and we agree), then Pothole Cover will compile the claim file to be submitted to the relevant roads agency; • Pothole Cover will help you with all the necessary administrative support and documentation preparation for submission; • Pothole Cover will follow up with the relevant roads agency in order to obtain the compensation required; • You will need to provide the following information in order for us to submit your claim: • Pictures of the actual pothole that damaged your car. (Bonus : to make the claiming process easier, a picture of your damaged vehicle next to the actual pothole); • Pictures of the damaged tyre and rim; • Your ID Document; • Your Driver’s License ; • The Registration Details of your vehicle; • 3 Written quotes for repair and final invoice; • A declaration signed by you confirming that you are not claiming from your Insurance Company and that the information is true; • If the vehicle is insured, a letter from the Insurance Company stating that the damage was not claimed from them; • If the vehicle is not insured, a sworn affidavit stating that there is no insurance cover on the tyre damage; • Please keep damaged tyre and/or rim as road authorities may send an assessor out to look at the tyre and rim.

• Note that the requirements may well vary according to the particular road agency.

Service Limitations • Service is limited to irreparable tyre damage as a result of a pothole on a road within the borders of the Republic of South Africa; • Pothole Cover will help only in respect of vehicles owned by you and your spouse; • No service will be provided if: • you have already claimed or are in the process of claiming for the damage from your Insurance Company; • the incident is not registered on Pothole Cover.com within 5 (five) working days of the incident.

• Where Pothole Cover does not agree that there is a valid reason for repair or replacement and if you do not agree, then the case will be referred to the Pothole Cover Advisory Panel. The decision of the Pothole Cover Advisory Panel will be final and binding on all the parties. The Pothole Cover Advisory Panel will consist of an admitted attorney as well as a tyre expert from Pothole Cover’s specialist tyre partners. Pothole Cover will not be responsible for any costs incurred in referring your case to the Panel.

• Any costs incurred from you being approached by an outside party, without written consent from Pothole Cover, will not be covered; • You are at all times free to get an outside second opinion but the costs of these will not be borne by Pothole Cover, unless same has been prior approved in writing; • Your membership must be fully paid up at the time of the incident; • At the time of the incident you must comply with all the legal and regulatory requirements of the Roads Acts of South Africa and other such relevant legislation; • The tyre tread depth is below the legal tread limit (as stipulated by the National Road Traffic Act No 93 of 1996); • The tyres and/or rims are fitted to vehicles with more than 3,500 kg (GVM), or for racing, speed testing, reliability trails, and off-road activities; • The tyres and/or rims are fitted to taxis, buses, trailers, caravans, dispatch or courier services, driving tuition, commercial or agricultural vehicles and car hire vehicles;

• Damage arising from theft, hijack or following an accident, where the vehicle is covered under a comprehensive motor policy; • The cost of repair or replacement, if recoverable under any other insurance or warranty; • Any further or additional losses incurred as a result of the damage; • Any physical damage to your vehicle arising from the damage to your tyres or rims; • Any claim arising out of wear and tear of the tyres and/or rims; • Any repairs undertaken without the prior authorisation of the Administrator; • Any repairs arising out of any motor vehicle accident, misuse or neglect; • Pothole Cover is not an insurance product. It is essentially a legal service to assist you in claiming from the relevant municipality or authority for damage incurred whilst in their jurisdiction; • Pothole Cover does not guarantee recovery from the relevant roads agency.

18.3 Roadside Assistance and ER24 In the event of a breakdown, the Administrator will arrange and pay for the following benefits, provided that the Administrator arranged the service.

Benefits (All benefit values quoted are inclusive of VAT) • Flat Tyre Assistance: If the vehicle’s spare tyre is inflated and serviceable, it will be installed to replace a flat tyre. When a serviceable spare tyre is not available, towing will be provided under the towing benefit. (A maximum of R 500 will apply).

• Battery Jump-Start: If the vehicle’s battery is problematic, the service provider will jump-start your vehicle.

(A maximum of R 500 will apply).

• Towing Service: If the vehicle breaks down and requires towing or roadside service, a towing operator will be appointed to tow your vehicle to the nearest Authorised Dealer. In the event of the tow taking place after hours, the vehicle will be stored in safe storage for the evening. (A maximum of R 1 000 will apply).

• Car Lockout Service: In the event of keys being locked inside the vehicle, a locksmith will be appointed to unlock the vehicle. Note that this service excludes faulty immobilisers. (A maximum of R 500 will apply).

• Emergency Fuel Delivery: If the vehicle runs out of fuel, a limited supply of 10 litres will be delivered, to enable you to reach the nearest service station. The Administrator will cover a limit of R500 for the call out fee but excludes the cost of fuel. (Costs for your account).

• Message Relay Service: The Administrator will relay a message to a family member, friend or colleague in the Republic of South Africa in the event of a breakdown and/or accident or when you need directions.

• Direction Service: We understand the importance of planning your trip or asking for directions when needed. We therefore provide you with all the information that you may require to ensure that your trip or direction routing will be hassle free.

The Administrator will: • Direct the caller to their destination using an electronic mapping facility.

• Location of incident sites in relation to landmarks, available response units and other active events.

• Inform the caller of the shortest routes, fewest intersections or one-way streets.

ER24 Medical Benefits ER24 will provide you with the following services in the event of a Medical Emergency:

Benefits: • Medical advice and information hotline: The ER24 medical personnel, including paramedics, nurses and doctors, shall be available 24 hours a day to provide general medical information and advice. This is an advisory service, as a telephonic conversation does not permit an accurate diagnosis.

• Emergency medical advice and assistance hotline: In addition to the general medical advice service, one call to 084 124 will trigger the medical operators to guide you through a medical crisis situation involving you, the member, by providing emergency advice or by organising for the member to receive the support required, utilising the 24 hour Contact Centre Doctor.

This service includes referrals to Crisis lines in the case of: • Family and Domestic Abuse; • Rape Counselling; • Trauma Counselling; • Child Abuse; • Bereavement Counselling; • HIV Counselling; • Suicide Hotline - Life Line; • Poison Hotline - In House.

A Medical Doctor will be available to give advice through the Contact Centre 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

• Emergency medical response to the scene of a medical emergency: An appropriate road and/or air response will be undertaken utilising an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, or a helicopter (all of which are manned by appropriately qualified and experienced emergency care practitioners, paramedics or Doctors) immediately to the scene of a medical emergency where appropriate lifesaving support will be provided to you and where relevant, you will be stabilised before transfer is provided to the closest appropriate medical facility.

• Medical transportation: In the event of your involvement in a Medical Emergency, ER24 will provide Emergency Medical Transportation by road and/or by air ambulance, under appropriate medical supervision, if necessary, to the nearest medical facility capable of providing adequate care. Medical considerations, the degree of urgency, your state and fitness to travel and other considerations, including, but not limited to, airport availability, weather conditions and distance to be covered as assessed by the Contact Centre Doctor and support staff will determine whether transport will be provided by medically equipped helicopter, regular scheduled flight, rail or road. All fees here are billed via an alternate re-imbursement model and ER24 reserve the right to bill the patient at the ER24 tariff if no form of cover for transportation is evident.

18.4 CrashDetect CrashDetech is a smartphone application that runs silently in the background of your phone. It automatically detects a serious vehicle crash and reduces emergency response times by pinpointing the location. It also ensures appropriate medical attention by providing vital patient information.

Below are the benefits that are offered as part of the subscription packages: • Crash Alert: The CrashDetech smartphone app automatically detects when you’re involved in a serious car crash and immediately notifies our emergency call centre. A medically trained agent calls your phone to confirm that you need assistance. If you confirm or don’t answer, the agent will request help from emergency services. They can stay on the line with you until help arrives. The agent can also call your loved ones to let them know help is on the way.

• Medical Emergency Button: Connect and share your location with a live, medically trained agent that’s able to provide emergency pre-arrival instructions e.g. CPR until help arrives. The CrashDetech emergency contact centre will immediately dispatch the nearest emergency medical services and supply them with your medical information in order to provide lifesaving assistance.

• Medical ID: A unique ID that’s placed on the inside of your car’s window. Emergency medical responders scan the QR code or phone the CrashDetech emergency contact centre in order to gain secure access to your medical and emergency contact information. The Medical ID offers a fail-safe patient identification method, should your smartphone device be severely damaged during a car crash.

• Medical Emergency Assist: Access to an independent national network of at least 5 000 emergency medical personnel ready to respond to your call. In the event of a medical emergency, CrashDetech can be contacted 24 hours a day to arrange emergency medical assistance and transportation.

• Family Protect: Allows up to 5 family members to install and use CrashDetech on their phones. Family Protect extends the subscription benefits to your spouse, children and parents giving you complete peace of mind.

• Lawyer SOS: Lawyer SOS is a national network of criminal lawyers that are skilled in criminal litigation. You have access to an intelligent panic button on your cell phone, which connects you to the lawyer SOS call centre. The call centre receiving the distress signal will call you and confirm the need for a criminal lawyer.

The call centre will dispatch an approved lawyer operating in the network, to the relevant police station to assist you and if possible to apply for bail. The lawyer will be at the police station within 3 hours after the arrest. Included in this product is cover up to R 1 500 for bail as well as additional cover for a capped lawyer fee of R 2 000. Any further legal fees incurred will be for your account. If you were unlawfully arrested and detained, we will appoint a lawyer on the panel of Lawyer SOS to prosecute a claim for damages against the Minister of Police on a contingency basis after a free consultation.

• Road Secure: Road Secure is a national, mobile, armed response unit, dispatched to you when you have a roadside emergency or accident and feel unsafe at the side of the road. Our primary functions is to protect you from danger. Road Secure will arrive in under 30 minutes anywhere in South Africa. You have the option to download the panic button. 18.5 Power-Up Warranty Eligibility Your vehicle eligibility must be aligned to your Motormend Warranty requirements.

Benefits Your Policy will cover the gap on the items specifically listed under the “Claim Limits” table (see below), in conjunction with your Motormend Warranty. All repair work must be authorised in advance and must be carried out by the Authorised Dealer as recommended by the Administrator in the “Claim Procedure” section.

Power-Up Cover In the event that your payment of repair costs are higher than the Motormend Warranty’s “Maximum Cover Limits” section, your Power-Up Warranty will cover the difference up to the applicable maximum value listed under the “Claim Limits” table (see below).

Effective Date & Duration Your cover commences on your Policy purchase date or the effective date of your Motormend Warranty. Your Power-Up Warranty will be valid for either a 12 month or 24 month period. Should your Motormend Warranty expire prior to your Power-Up Warranty, your Power-Up Warranty will remain in force for the remaining period as a standalone policy. In this instance the additional component cover will be payable by your Power-Up Warranty according to the cover option chosen by you, until such time the Power-Up Warranty expires.

Terms and Conditions For your Power-Up Warranty to commence you must have a valid Motormend Warranty.

Claim Procedure Your Power-Up Warranty’s Claim Procedure is aligned with your Motormend Warranty’s “Claim Procedure”.

19. Disclosures in terms of the Short-term Insurance Act and the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (hereinafter referred to as “THE FAIS ACT”).

(This does not form part of the Insurance Contract)

Motormend Warranty As a short-term insurance policyholder or prospective policyholder, you have the right to the following information:

1. Claims Please note that the procedure for instituting claims is included in your Policy.

In the event of your claim being rejected and a claim rejection letter being sent to you, you have a period of 90 days in which to make a representation directly to the Insurer. Should you make a representation within the 90 day period, the Insurer has within 45 days of receiving the representation, to notify you of their final decision after reviewing the representation. Should you be dissatisfied with the Insurer’s decision, you have a period of 6 months in which to institute legal action. You may also lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman for Short Term Insurance on the details in 8 below.

2. TCF and Complaints The Administrator is now able to demonstrate our commitment to the TCF Framework in that Treating Customers Fairly is a fundamental part of our corporate culture. For this reason, TCF Champions have been appointed to spearhead the TCF Culture. The Administrator has also established TCF objectives, incorporated the organisation’s values of Integrity, Respect, Reliability, Innovation, Sustainability and also developed a Customer Charter, which educates all employees and our service providers on our panel to ensure fair treatment of customers to the end that customers’ financial services needs are appropriately met through a sustainable industry at all stages of the relationship with the customer.

The handling of complaints is centralised and incorporates TCF. Any complaints relating to your Policy will be handled by the Administrator, whose complaints department can be contacted on the telephone number for customer care, as provided in your Policy. Please note that the Administrator’s complaints policy and procedure is available on the Administrator’s website or from the Administrator by contacting the numbers listed in point 5 below. The complaints handling is standardised as per statutory requirement and reported accordingly within Innovation FSP (Pty) Ltd and to the FSB.

3. The Insurer (Product Supplier) The Insurer underwrites the benefits of your Policy. Your Policy conforms to the requirements of the Short-Term Insurance Act 53 of 1998 (as amended) and in no way detracts from your common law rights.

4. The Dealer (Intermediary)

If your Policy was sold through a Dealership, the Dealer is required to make certain disclosures in terms of the FAIS Act. The Dealer should provide you with the details of the premiums, commissions and any monetary obligations assumed by you directly or indirectly when buying your Policy.

6. Warning Do not sign any blank or partially completed application forms and complete all forms in ink. If, however, any form is to be completed on your behalf by the Financial Service Provider, you must be satisfied to the accuracy and completeness thereof. Non-payment of your premium or any misrepresentations, incorrect information provided by you, or non-disclosure of any relevant facts, may influence the benefits you would have received in terms of your Policy or could result in rendering your Policy void.

7. The Short-Term Insurance Ombudsman The Ombudsman is available to advise you in the event of claim problems, which are not satisfactorily resolved by the Insurance Intermediary, the Administrator and/or the Insurer.
