HOW TO CHOOS E THE RIGHT SHAMPOO We know it can be difficult to find the right shampoo when there are so many different options to choose from at Price Attack. Sulfate-free, colour protection, clarifying and special formulas - what’s the difference and what’s best for your hair? We’ve done a shampoo wrap-up so you know what to look for next time you’re in store.

DRY Washing, drying and styling takes the moisture out of your hair, so try to reduce washing to a few times a week. Use a shampoo that contains natural oils and herbs to restore your hair.

DAMAGED Find a sulfate-free shampoo formulated for damaged hair and avoid products with sodium laurel as they can strip your hair. Avoid rinsing in hot water as it lifts the cuticle and creates a rough surface.

COLOURED If your colour begins to look a bit dull, use a clarifying shampoo once a month to boost shine and colour.

BLONDE Use a purple shampoo to remove brassy tones, although only once a week to avoid drying your hair out.

Use a colour protecting shampoo for every other wash, to protect and moisturise.

FINE Pick a volumising shampoo. You want a product that contains proteins to coat the hair and make it look thicker. Washing your hair more often, and with cool water, can avoid it becoming limp.

OILY Use a clarifying shampoo every few washes they’re designed to remove build up on your hair caused from styling products, grease or chemicals. To avoid washing too often, use a dry shampoo between washes.

FRIZZY Use a shampoo that’s free of sulfates. When washing, do a final rinse with cold water to lock in helpful ingredients and build shine. Use a curl enhancing leave-in to soften and tame your natural curls.

THINNING Start with a shampoo that contains rice or wheat proteins that thicken strands. As you shampoo, massage your scalp to stimulate your cuticles.
