Employee newsline GVEA Employees Are Eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine Many employees have asked when or if they qualify for the COVID-19 Vaccination through GVEA. This means that all GVEA employees are eligible for the Pfizer vaccination at the Chief Andrew Isaac clinic. You are eligible regardless of Indian Health Services (IHS) status or age. GVEA does not require the vaccination for COVID-19, however, if you are interested in obtaining the vaccination now is the time to schedule your appointment! Steps to take:

• Call 907-451-6682 • Dial extension 7 • Ask to register in order to

schedule an appointment

• You will need the following

to register: • Name, DOB, mailing address, emergency contact & insurance info Registration should then transfer you to scheduling

Currently there is about a threeday waiting period, however, several employees who have called were able to schedule their appointments earlier. For additional information please visit www.tananachiefs.org/ covid19.

SharePoint Training

GVEA is moving to an updated form of the platform In order to better facilitate SharePoint usage, multiple options for training are now available. SharePoint will be an integral part of GVEA’s successful move toward modernizing and using new technologies, and migrating away from shared drives and sharefiles. Employees are urged to familiarize themselves with the platform. Training is available via streaming video as well as Teams, which provides employees the opportunity to ask questions. Please contact Stacey Baldridge at smbaldridge@gvea.com if you or your team would like to be trained on SharePoint. The streaming video, along with the training agenda, can be found here: https://bit.ly/3sElkwC.

GVEA Board Room Gets a Makeover A few small, economical changes were made

The GVEA Board Room received some needed upgrades this year. The audio/visual system was upgraded and new lighting was installed. The room also received a fresh coat of paint and new carpet. While it seems that it won’t host many meetings right away, the Board Room will be ready when the time comes. And it can’t come soon enough!
