Enjoying the Preston Hollow neighborhood and their daily barking fits as they save their families’ lives from the mailman, the Amazon truck, and other passing dogs, Brumley and Roxy are living the sweet life. These two neighborhood characters are a perfect pair.

Brumley, named after a lake in East Texas, is a delightful six-year-old Golden Retriever, often referred to by the family as “the perfect child.” Roxy, often called Roo, is an aging 12-year-old cockapoo. Roo is more intelligent than her own good and has separation anxiety, yet is often referred to by the family as Brumley’s emotional support animal. The two are inseparable.

Having just moved to the area three years ago, the two are trauma-bonded by the cross-country move, which turned their whole world upside down. However, they have adjusted well and enjoy walks around Preston Hollow, keeping the yard clear of all squirrels and rabbits and ensuring every sunlit spot on the floor is accounted for and napped in.

Occasionally, Brumley and Roxy get a little too big for their britches in the household hierarchy and cause all kinds of mischief, but the family often babysits the grand cats (enormous Siberian Forest Cats), who keep them in line. Life is always fun and full with Brumley and Roxy around.
