Welcome to Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe
More than ever North Devon needs a strong business community to fight for the interests of all businesses, both small and large. COMBEbusiness was established in 2011 to represent and support all businesses in Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. We are a not-for-profit company run by volunteers who all run their own businesses. In addition to hosting an event on the first Wednesday of each month at a different venue across the area, we have provided our own training and mentoring support tailored to the specific needs of individual businesses and represented the business community at consultations with various agencies across the South West region. Following the success of OPEN FOR BUSINESS in 2014, we hope you find this year’s event just as valuable for networking, finding new customers and suppliers, and discussing the challenges that all our businesses face.
Conference sessions – Landmark Theatre 12 midday – North Devon Marketing Bureau – Trevor Stanbury Trevor Stanbury will be discussing the new North Devon Marketing Bureau - if you run an accommodation business, visitor attraction, restaurant, café, bar, pub or shop, you need to attend this session. 12.45pm – One Ilfracombe – Ron Ley Ron Ley will be discussing the work of One Ilfracombe. 1.30pm – Manufacturing Success – TDK-Lambda & Pall (Europe) Manufacturers are among our biggest employers, but face huge challenges, including getting young people interested in career opportunities available, attracting talent, securing resilient business infrastructure and bringing investment to the area. This session will discuss these issues and why they are relevant.

A number of exhibitors will be running advice sessions during the day so you can ask questions on a range of services available locally to help your business.
