COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND Charitable contributions have funded unmet needs associated with Presbyterian’s COVID-19 response. Foundation dollars have been especially helpful in filling funding gaps for priority needs outlined below.

GRANTS $475,200 in corporate and foundation grants received for Presbyterian Community Health programs addressing the growing issue of hunger/food insecurity. $78,000 from the Foundation’s Community Health Fund was awarded for priority outreach programs. Grant funding contributed in part to the following initiatives:
FOOD FARMACY A referral-based food pantry that served nearly 10,000 community members and their families last year.
FREE MEALS FOR KIDS PROGRAMS Delivered at seven Presbyterian locations throughout New Mexico, these programs served more than 35,000 meals in 2020 – an 87% increase over 2019.
VIRTUAL COOKING CLASSES with more than 4,500 participants.
Some of the grant funds were directed specifically to food access for families in Northern New Mexico and children from birth to age 5.
IN-KIND GIFTS More than 214 donors collectively gave in-kind gifts worth over $300,000 primarily in the form of PPE and other supplies, as well as meals and snacks for frontline providers and staff.
