Distinguished Honor: The Lindsay Parkinson Memorial Award

Established by the Parkinson family to honor Lindsay’s memory, this award is given to a student who shows persistence and grace under pressure, as Lindsay did. She was dedicated to faith and family.

Awardees have been seen engaging as active and informed citizens, being stewards of the environment, collaborating and resolving conflicts respectfully, treating others with dignity, and as leaders, they have employed "Not Words, But Deeds" as their model for leadership.

This award recognizes a young woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in school activities.

Memorial Scholarship

Each year this scholarship is given to a student who truly exemplifies the motto, “Not Words, But Deeds” like Carmel Vaudagna, a dedicated alumnae parent who passed away in 1977.

Martin

Jennifer Martin was a beloved faculty member at Presentation for many years. She was committed to the Presentation community and this scholarship was established by Jennifer’s parents to honor a senior who has made noteworthy contributions to the community.

This scholarship is given to a student who wishes to pursue a career in education and like Sr. Thecla, she is known for her deep love and genuine concern for others.

Awardees take responsibility for their own growth, appreciate hard work, own their own mistakes, recognize the importance of a healthy lifestyle and are taking pride in who they are becoming.

Distinguished Honor: The Alison E. Smith Memorial Scholarship

Alison’s family and friends established this scholarship after she lost her battle with cancer. It is awarded to a student who has persisted through hardship with dignity and grace.

Distinguished Honor: The Alyssa Messier Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a senior who persevered through challenges and embodies the exceptional enthusiasm that Alyssa Messier demonstrated at Presentation.

Distinguished Honor: The Christina Asbury Memorial Scholarship

Christina did everything despite being very ill while attending Pres. The scholarship is intended for someone who shares many of the same traits that Christina possessed: enthusiasm, passion about Presentation, a positive outlook on life, and friendly to all.

Lasting Impact Award

This award is given to an educator who has had a profound and personal impact on the lives of the students.

Every year students choose a member of our faculty who is exceptional in the classroom.

This award is the school’s highest honor. It is given to a student who exemplifies the best in a Presentation graduate. She is intellectually competent, dedicated to serving others, committed to her own personal growth and a woman of faith.

Marie Curie Award for Outstanding Science Achievement

The General Excellence in Science Award is given to those students who have demonstrated all-around strength in their science education by earning a 4.5 gpa or above in at least FIVE years of science, including at least 1 AP.

Visual and Performing Arts Scholar

The recipients of the Visual and Performing Arts award goes to students who have completed at least 6+ semesters of visual/performing arts courses, have participated in 2+ years in programs like Dance Company, Jazba, Theater, A Capella, National Arts Honor Society, have attended a non-Presentation Community artsrelated event each semester, and have participated in VPA-sponsored service events at least once per year.

National Honor Society

Members of National Honor Society must have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 throughout the year, be enrolled in at least 1 advanced Honors or AP course, have leadership experience, and complete at least 5 hours of service learning for the school year. Seniors who meet these requirements will have the opportunity to wear an NHS cord at graduation.

California Scholarship Federation Lifetime Members with Service

Community service is an integral part of all clubs and organizations at Presentation; therefore, the Presentation chapter of CSF seeks to honor those members who have engaged in service hours. Members with Service: Students who earn membership for at least 4 semesters (excluding freshman year associate membership) AND complete 5 hours of service for 4 semesters will be recognized with a CSF Honor Stole and Tassel at the graduation ceremony.

California Scholarship Federation Seymour Memorial Award Finalist

Building on the principals of a CSF Lifetime member, the Seymour Memorial Award was established to honor the founders of the California Scholarship Federation, and is regarded as one of the highest scholastic honors given to high school students in the state of California. Each year, there are only 50 students who earn this esteemed distinction.

2025 National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalists

To be named a National Merit Semi Finalist is a distinction that places a student in a group representing about ½ to 1 percent of all the U.S. high school graduating seniors who took the PSAT in the fall of their junior year. A finalist must submit an application with an essay as well as a school recommendation. Presentation’s finalists:

National Arts Honor Society Recognition

The National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. NAHS members are students who are enrolled in art courses each year, hold a 3.0 GPA or higher, complete service hours, and attend meetings regularly. The students receiving this honor cord are also members who use their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

The National Association for Music Education Association began the Tri-M Music Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have supported the ideals and aspirations of the Tri-M Music Honor Society through continued service and interest in solo and ensemble performance in their school and in their community.

Math and Science Academy Recognition

We would like to acknowledge and congratulate the following students for their commitment and dedication of time to our Presentation Math and Science related extracurricular and curricular programs as members of the Math and Science Academy. Students earn membership points for their involvement in a large number of Math and Science related programs such as Robotics, Mu Alpha Theta, Math and Science Independent Research, Women in Stem Careers, Girls Who Code and more, as well as for attending Math and Science Colloquiums and participating in on campus Math contests. Membership is divided into 4 levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
