COUNCIL MONTHLY REPORT December 2022

Prescott Valley's first Winter Spectacular was a huge success, drawing 6,000 people to enjoy a day of events, food, music, a Night Light Parade, the lighting of our new 40-foot Christmas tree, and a visit from Santa who entered via a horse drawn sleigh! Popular during the day were a snow machine, photos with Santa, inflatables, and crafts. A thick fog during the event added to the magic.

Prescott Valley Police participate in annual Shop With A Cop event

Prescott Valley Police officers joined law enforcement agencies throughout the Quad Cities area to thrill local youngsters in need during the annual Shop With A Cop event. Kids receive a ride with their very own officer (with the ability to make a lot of noise with vehicle sirens!), breakfast and a visit with Santa, who arrives by helicopter, and an amount of money to purchase Christmas presents for their families. The event cements relationships between these children and law enforcement.
