Founder’s Day celebrates 69 years of senior service Employees of Wichita Presbyterian Manor will observe the founding of Presbyterian Manors of MidAmerica this month, as the company celebrates 69 years of providing quality senior services guided by Christian values. The company has locations in Kansas and Missouri. Each Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America campus will have its own celebration with residents and employees during April, acknowledging the importance each play in making life at Wichita Presbyterian Manor “the way you want to live.” “Many of our employees view what they do as a calling, not just a job,” said Bruce Shogren, president and CEO. “Our dedicated employees FOUNDER’S, continued on page 2
Wichita Presbyterian Manor experienced a homecoming when Courtney Wolfe joined the team as executive director in February. “I’ve found that sometimes the greatest opportunities in life come to us when we least expect them, and that has certainly been the case with my return to Presbyterian Manor,” said Courtney. Courtney said she is thrilled to return to the community where she started her senior living career in 2002.

“I look forward to getting to know the residents and employees. Wichita Presbyterian Manor has a long-standing tradition of excellence in serving seniors, and the newly expanded campus and service offerings only exemplify those opportunities. What a tremendous honor to return to such an amazing campus,” she said. Courtney said she’s always held a special appreciation for Wichita Presbyterian Manor and, in many ways, the opportunity to return to the community also feels like coming home. While pursuing her degree in pediatric nursing at Wichita State University, Courtney was the activity coordinator at Wichita Presbyterian Manor from 2002 to 2006. “After a short time working here, I realized that I had a passion to serve seniors,” Courtney said. “I quickly grew to realize that I was called to serve in health care—just not in a nursing role.
