Heather’s hot fudge

Make sure to attend our 50th Anniversary Ice Cream Social from 6 – 8 p.m. July 26 and enjoy Marketing Director Heather Germann’s famous hot fudge! She was “sweet” enough to share her recipe: Hot fudge sauce On STOveTOP MIx: ½ c. oleo ½ c. cocoa ¼ c. white corn syrup dash of salt ADD SlOwly: 2 ¾ c. sugar

THen ADD SlOwly: 1 can evaporated milk

Bring to a boil. Take off of burner and add 1 ½ tsp burnt sugar flavoring and 1 tsp vanilla. let cool before serving. Can be kept in refrigerator for awhile.

Five decades of service to community Clay Center Presbyterian Manor is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018.

During the 1960s, First Presbyterian Church members petitioned the Presbyterian Synod and Foundation to build a Presbyterian Manor in Clay Center due to an increased need for seniors in the community.

Mrs. Ethel (George) Kreeck donated land for Clay Center Presbyterian Manor.

Rev. Bill Tillman, a long-time member of the state Presbyterian foundation board, is credited with inspiring the creation of Clay Center Presbyterian Manor. George Fullington and Jim Hammel provided the first money for the project during a
