- Mehmet Murat ildan Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy will be closed for Christmas Break from December 20-January 3. As APPE students are still out in the field, we know there may be issues that arise, so you can reach out to OEE as you normally would. For nonemergent issues, we will follow up after the new year.

Journal Monitor There’s a lot in the literature about trends and improvements in experiential education. So we’ve created an easy way for you to keep up: The Journal Monitor. In each preceptor newsletter, we’ll provide you a brief look at some current articles. And we’ll provide the source information as well so you can take a look at the entire article yourself.

Helpful Vaccination Resource USP has a COVID-19 Vaccine Handling Guide available to address efficiency gaps and strategies to avoid medication errors in a multivaccine (manufacturer and adult/pediatric) environment. This can be used by students or preceptors to provide educational sessions, share best practices and improve patient care.

Vaccination Updates If your rotation site has issued or altered a vaccination mandate , please share the communication with OEE Coordinator, Lynn Thompson (lthompson@presby.edu). We are closely monitoring each site's requirements to make sure our students are in compliance, even as they change on a day-to-day basis!

Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy has had a COVID vaccination requirement in place since August 2021. Some medical and religious exemptions have been reviewed and approved. All records are being kept on file with OEE.

Do you understand the basics of the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL)?

The Center for Innovative Pharmacy Education and Research (CIPhER) at the UNC Eshleman School of Pharmacy is launching a new SoTL Bootcamp aimed at helping pharmacy educators systematically design, evaluate, and share their teaching and assessment practices.

The course will be delivered online in an intensive, interactive form, led by Drs. Jacqui McLaughlin and Adam Persky.

Registration limited to 30 educators; 8 CE credits

A new member of the PCSP OEE! Congratulations to Patrick and Talisha Ratliff on the birth of their 3rd son, Braylen Walter Ratliff. Braylen was born

on 12/14/21 and joins big brothers Weston and Rowen. Talisha will be out on maternity leave and preceptors can contact Susi Carbonneau (scarbo@presby.edu) during her absence.
