• IT SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR AREA.
• PROPER CIRCULATION OF FORKLIFT AS WELL AS TRUCKS.
• IT SHOULD BE CENTRAL LOCATION FOR VILLAGES NEARBY AND ALSO SHOULD BE A GOOD COMMUNITY SPACE.
• AS THE CLIMATE HERE HAS HEAVY RAINFALL, DESIGN HAS SLOPING ROOF, WHICH ALSO LEADS TO THE SUSTAINABLE PRACTICE, I. E., RAIN WATER HARVESTING.
• TO GET MORE NATURAL LIGHT, GAP IS PRODUCED IN TWO CONSECUTIVE SLOPING ROOFS. AND VERTICAL SKYLIGHTS OF POLYCARBONATED SHEETS ARE USED IN THIS GAP.
• TO MAKE THE DESIGN SUSTAINABLE FOR ELECTRICITY, SOLAR SYSTEM IS PROVIDED.

• THE PLOT IS LOCATED IN BOTH RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL AREA.
• THE SITE IS IN BETWEEN TWO EXISTING STRUCTURE.
• IT IS THE HOSPITAL LANDSCPAE AREA, WHERE VISITORS CAN CAME AND WAIT OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL OR CAN RELAX FOR A WHILE.

• IN THIS PROJECT, WE WERE FREE TO CHOOSE OUR SITE.
• THE FORM HAS BEEN INSPIRED BY THE ALPHABET ‘H’ AS IT HAS SYMMETRY AND ALSO IT REPRESENTS HEALTH.
• THE FORM PROVIDES EMPTY SPACE IN FRONT AS WELL AS BACK. AND THESE SPACES HAS BEEN UTILIZED NICELY.
• FRONT FACAD IS ATTRACTIVE BEACAUSE OF OPPOSITE TILTING OF FRONT WALL.
• THOUGH IT IS FLAT ROOF, THE LAYERS IN ROOF HAVE BEEN CREATED, WHICH LEADS TO FORM SKYLIGHT.
• THE CIRCULATION IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND, IT IS USER FRIENDLY.

❑ AIM- TO PROVIDE LOVING AND SUPPORTIVE CARE FOR THE CHILDREN WHO HAVE NO ONE OR WHO LOST THEIR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS DURING COVID 19. CREATING ENVIRONMENT FOR THEIR ALL ROUND GROWTH. SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE.
❑ DESIGN STRATEGIES
• MAXIMUM LIGHT AND VENTILATION IS PROVIDED.
• THE HOUSE FOR PROVIDING A REAL SENSE OF SECURITY AND BELONGING IS DESIGNED.
• EASY CIRCULATION IS PROVIDED.
EAST ELEVATION
ARRANGEMENT OF FIVE HOUSE BLOCKS CREATING MIDDLE COMMON SPACE AND IT IS USED AS PLAYING SPACE. ALL THE HOUSES ARE CONNECTED TO A COMMON CIRCULATION ROAD WHICH ENDS AT MULTIPURPOSE HALL.
FORM IS DEVELOPED SUCH THAT AIR SHOULD FLOW THROUGHOUT THE SITE AND SHOULD NOT BE BLOCKED IN BETWEEN.
• 5 HOUSES ARE CONNECTED WITH A COMMON PATHWAY.
• PERGOLAS ARE PROVIDED AT THE BACKYARD OF HOUSE.
• SEATING UNDER TREES ARE GIVEN UNDER BIG TREES.
• BENCHES ARE PROVIDED AT THE INTERVALS AND IN THE PLAYING SPACE.
• PLAYING EQUIPMENTS ARE PROVIDED FOR SMALL AGE GROUP CHILDREN IN THE PLAYING SPACE AT THE CENTER AS WELL AS IN THE FRONT OF SIDE.

• IT CONSISTS TWO FLOORS, WHICH INCLUDES LIVING ROOM, KITCHEN, DINING SPACE FOR 12 PEOPLE, 2 BEDROOMS FOR TWO NUMBER OF CHILDREN AND 2 BEDROOMS FOR 3 NUMBER OF CHILDREN, BEDROOM FOR MOTHER, SEPARATE STUDY SPACE, SMALL TERRACE.
