Summer League

Participation in this League teaches the student-athlete techniques and skills needed for Spring GLAX Team try-outs, and is highly recommended by the SCHS Coaching Staff.

Program Details: Open to all incoming 9th-12th graders

● New Players – No prior experience needed Try the sport risk free (Extra gear available for those who do not own any)

● Experienced Players – Improve on your skills as a player in all areas

● Players will learn stick skills, shooting, defensive strategies, offensive strategies, team play, and much more

● Meet fellow Tritons and make friends before school starts

● We understand families may be on vacation during some of the practices and/or games – just let us know when you signup and come when you can

Program Includes: Fitness training, practices, and up to eight competitive local games.

Summer Practices To Register for Summer:

New and JV Level Players:

Twice a week during July

Varsity Level Players:

Three times a week during the last two weeks of July

Summer Games

New/JV: Saturdays 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, & 7/29

Varsity: Scrimmages TBD

3 Every Player must have an active US Lacrosse number to participate in the summer games They do not need one to participate with the team practices https://www.usalacrosse.com/

Please note that dates, times and location are tentative, based on field space availability Practices will be held at the SCHS Grass Field next to the Stadium or at Vista Hermosa Sports Park.

● Summer league will run for 4 weeks (From the week of 7/3-7/29)

● Practices will be twice a week located at SCHS or Vista Hermosa Sports Park

● There will be 2 games per Saturday located at Santa Margarita Intermediate School

● If we have enough girls signed up, we will enter 2 teams for Summer League

We will be asking for a Tax-Deductible Summer Voluntary Donation of $250 for each athlete Our girls’ lacrosse program does not receive any funding from the school or district for our summer program Donations go to cover the cost of Summer League, Balls, Gear, Coaching, etc

● Checks can be made payable to “TBC-Girls Lacrosse”. Bring to the first practice of summer.

● Or donate through Venmo “@schsgirlslacrosse”. If it prompts for the last 4 of the phone number, it is 2080. Make sure to put the player’s name and “Summer Lax” in the memo
