RITON BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL 2020-21 Dear Parents: The upcoming Boys Volleyball Tryouts for the 2020-21 season will be taking place in the SCHS gym on Thursday and Friday, November 5 and 6, from 3-4:15 pm. All boys who did not participate on any of last year’s teams will be asked to tryout during those two days. All boys who are interested in trying-out must have their completed physical forms turned into the office before the tryouts begin. Potential team members will be evaluated on their volleyball skills, athleticism, and attitude/coachability, and will be evaluated on a 5 point scale by the SCHS Boys Volleyball Coaching Staff during the course of the tryouts. Boys need to be dressed in SCHS PE or SCHS athletic gear; no “Club” volleyball gear will be permitted for the tryouts! In addition, each student-athlete must be academically eligible (2.0 or higher GPA) to participate at the start of the spring semester. Returning lettermen will continue to be evaluated during 5 th period Volleyball Class for the remainder of the semester, and will be eligible to be placed on the post-tryout rosters once they have completed the physical forms and have academic clearance. Following the tryouts, players and parents will be notified of the team selections, and a mandatory parent meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, at 7 pm in the upper gym.
