Leadership in Training (L.I.T.) Age 13-15 Interested in gaining professional experience while working hands-on in a summer camp setting? The Leadership in Training (LIT) Program gives teens the opportunity to develop important job skills and prepare for future employment through training, handson experiences, and evaluation. Learn useful leadership skills, get hands on training with young children, and meet interesting new people. Please note: There are limited spaces available and although camp preferences are taken into consideration, site placement will be assigned by the L.I.T Coordinator. Throughout the summer there will be: • Sports Activities • Field Trips • Arts & Crafts • Leadership Workshops • Team Building & Personal Skills Training • Plus a lot of FUN!

SUMMER CAMP

A certificate of completion will be given to all participants at the L.I.T. Appreciation Event. The Leadership in Training program will be broken up into four two week sessions, each at $80 per session. Applications must be picked up at Red Morton or Sandpiper Community Centers on April 1, 2016. Applications are due by 5:00pm, April 22, 2016 and interviews will be held from May 10th-12th. This is a competitive process. All applicants must provide a written application and the most qualified will be asked to interview for the available positions. A mandatory training will be held 6/16 & 6/17. (No program on July 4, 2016). Applicants MUST be 13 by the first day of training on 6/16/16. LIFEGUARDS

You must be a certified lifeguard (have a Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Card prior to working) and be at least 16 years old. Pay is very competitive and the work environment very fun, challenging and rewarding. Spend your summer outdoors, teach kids how to swim, and be a role model for the community.
