with Svetlana Tuchinsky, B.M., MA Ed, 15+ years experience. Learning to play the piano is FUN! Piano lessons should be enjoyable and productive, not dull and isolating. By putting students into small groups in the beginning, we give them a chance to share the learning experience with others. This creates a built-in support team of friends and encourages children to practice. Activities include music-oriented games, EZ music theory, and ear-training. Classes are progressive: Piano 1, the beginner's class is followed by Piano 2, etc. Each student has access to a piano or keyboard in class; however, a piano or keyboard is needed to practice at home.
