If I am having an outdoor event or activity, what should I expect the weather to be like?

San Diego typically remains within a comfortable range between approximately 50 and 75 degrees all year long and receives just 43 days of precipitation on average. Most days are mid 70’s and sunny and nights drop down to the mid to low 60’s.

Once outside of Downtown San Diego, San Diego is fairly spread out. The typical transfer time is 15-20 minutes.

Sailing the San Diego Bay, biking La Jolla or Coronado Island, and kayaking La Jolla Cove or San Diego Bay are our most popular activities.

This wonderful opportunity to see these extraordinary creatures up close is unforgettable. You’ll have an opportunity to experience “an up close and personal” wildlife encounter including whales, sea lions, seals and dolphins. A definite perk of cruising on this 50 catamaran is that all our tours are personal and spacious.

On this excursion, we’ll taste at boutique wineries, meet vintners, stroll through vineyards, and even take a look at a crush pad or two. Come with us as we sip California’s underknown terroir: San Diego County. Taking advantage of diverse terroir and proximity to the Pacific, the current generation of San Diego wineries deftly merge old world sensibilities with our coastal lifestyle.

Step into an adventure like no other! The San Diego Zoo Safari Park immerses you in an active, hands-on safari experience where herds of animals roam natural habitats in an 1,800-acre reserve. Travel in the back of a covered, open-air safari truck to visit at least two field enclosures. Get an up-close view of Asian and African birds and mammals, with an opportunity to feed giraffes.

Embark on a unique tour at Carlsbad Aquafarm, Southern California’s exclusive oyster farm, in partnership with USC’s Wrigley Marine Lab, where resilient oysters are meticulously cultivated amid oceanic shifts. SAN DIEGO

Host Squadron Souvenir & Gift Items

The host squadron will have stations setup selling souvenir and gift items custom to their squadron. All proceeds raised from the sale of these items will go back to the family members of this squadron. Guest can purchase onsite or a head of time.

Support Our Troops

The Tour and Catered Event (TCE) Program at MCAS Miramar is a program within the Marine Corp Community Service (MCCS) Department. MCCS is a not-for-profit organization within the United States Marine Corps. MCCS supports the “quality of life” programs onboard the base. These programs are many and diverse. The following is a partial list of the programs and facilities supported by MCCS: Athletics Facilities, Clubs, Golf Course, Theater, Stables, Library, Career Resource Center, Counseling Center, Education Center, Teen Center, Youth Center, Family Counseling, Health Promotion, Key Volunteer Program, New Parent Support Group, Personal Finance Management, and Single Marine Program.

All TCE revenue, over and above operating costs, goes back to MCCS to support those quality-of-life programs not funded by tax dollars.

Groups that choose to host an event at MCAS Miramar, directly benefit the Marines onboard the base.
