The detail design report is about the proposed masterplan located in the Railway Colony near Sabarmati Railway Station. The masterplan is structured around three core strategies: Preserve the natural ecosystem, Connect the city, site, and institution, and Interact through human-scaled, permeable development that blurs the boundaries between built and open spaces.
New connective corridors, detailed urban blocks, and a network of pedestrian linkages enhance accessibility and foster a strong relationship between buildings and the public realm. The design is guided by clear urban design principles on building typologies, ground-floor activation, and spatial hierarchy to ensure vibrancy and cohesion.
